If you make notepads, and need to separate them after binding, this is the tool. I ruined the back of many pads by tearing some off the cardboard before I found a Youtube Video about "Padding." This guy knows his craft. I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money on a little knife, but it is well worth it to save time and not ruin product. It is an awesome little tool!

I don’t know what it is but this made a big difference when cutting between my notepads. This item works as it should and I highly recommend it.

The blade is slightly too thick to position between notepads when seperating. It was advertised as easily cutting through padding glue, but this struggles to do so. It resists cutting through even elmers glue. I ended having to sharpen it some myself. I figured the high price was because it was a perfectly suited tool for seperating notepads, but after a month of use, it is not.

This is the best thing I have bought for making pads of papers. I was contemplating buying it since I was getting by using a cutter. I never thought this would make my work so much easier. Minus a star because I found the blade to be not sharp enough

Do not buy! Terrible quality. I ordered two of these to replace my old padding knife, which has separated tens of thousands of pads over the years and is finally getting dull. Both knives I received were completely useless — duller than dull. They couldn't even separate a single pad without sawing and ripping it apart. I returned them immediately. A good padding knife makes pad separation easy and clean — my old knife, even after years of heavy use, still works better than these brand-new ones. Worst padding knives I've ever seen. Just ordered a more expensive padding knife, hopefully that one works.
