Epiphone Case for Epiphone Dot, Sheraton, 335

It's a great value on a hard case for your Epiphone (or other) slimline semi-hollow. Mine is holding an Epiphone Sheraton II. It's got a nice, snug fit and should protect it nicely. The outside of the case definitely isn't as durable as leather or a hard plastic, but it is in line with what I'd expect for the money. Great support for the neck, and a nice compartment under the neck to hold things you can't live without. The first case that was shipped to me had a latch that didn't close very securely and I requested a replacement. The seller, Guitar Craftory, sent a replacement on the same day of my request. It arrived two days later and functions exactly as expected. Kudos to them for making that experience hassle free!

I originally got a Gator case(same price) which are nice, sturdy, light weight, generic cases made from ABS. The fit was extremely tight(like jamming 2lbs in a 1.5lb bag). Had to jam the headstock in first into the top "pocket", then firmly press the body down as it compressed the foam to get it in. Literally, it was a shoe horn fit. Plus, to get it out, I had to make a coat hanger hook to grab the endtail piece(strap hook) & pull quite hard to get it out(without damaging the guitar finish). This case is the 940-EDREAD & fits the AJ-100 & /CE like a glove. As perfect as any case made for a specific guitar. Mine is exactly like the picture. Black leather like vinyl brown handle & the lid edge is trimmed in brown & a thin brown trim piece 1" from the bottom. It's heavy(wood), extremely sturdy(exactly like Les Paul cases) & with 5 gold clasps could very well be air an tight seal. Inside is soft plush material & perfect grade foam, exactly what you expect from Epiphone. It's much like the Gibson Les Paul case I had. One locking clasp that comes with one key(don't lose it). It is nearly twice as heavy as the ABS Gator case. It wraps the guitar body perfectly all the way around & the neck girdle locks it in. There is nothing around the headstock to bump the machine heads so you won't knock your guitar out of tune putting it away or taking it out. There are also several inches above the headstock so it will take a longer guitar or you can make a custom pocket. Epiphone's fitment chart states this is the case for the DR-212. That is 90% true. The DR-212 headstock fits with several inches to spare, the neck girdle will hold the DR's much thicker neck, DR body width is the same but it is narrower than the AJ. The bottom of the DR touches the foam but has about 1/2" around the sides allowing it to swing around like a clock pendulum. With the lid closed & shaking the case I could detect no movement so the lid puts enough pressure on the bridge to hold the DR in place. So I'll be getting another 940-EDREAD. I shopped Epiphone cases elsewhere and there is one by Epiphone that indicates it is specifically for their EJ and AJ models. I was a bit skeptical of this one on Amazon at first because it's called "dreadnought" and says it fits the EJ and Dove. i have a Gibson Dove and my EJ came nowhere close to fitting in that case. So while the description says it will fit, i wasn't convinced yet. I finally found a reviewer who bought one for his EJ-160, so I pulled the trigger. Glad I did. Arrived today, sooner than expected. Packaging as expected - big cardboard box, Epiphone branded, case wrapped in plastic. My EJ-160 fits absolutely perfect, not a gap anywhere. There's even a slot that allows for the guitar strap nut at the bottom. You can make it out in the photo. There is also pocket you can see at the front. Not sure what that's for, but looks like a perfect spot for a humidipak. Does not affect the protection of the guitar on that side. Finally, you can see the area on the lid where the tone and volume knobs press into keeping them well-protected, too. Construction seems very good -- seams and edges are smooth and straight, latches aligned and tight (case locks, too), just appears solid all around. The finish material is very nice, smooth, not pebbled, but does seem like it could be easily scratched. Since I won't be gigging or traveling with it, I expect it will serve me and the guitar very well for a long time. One other observation... in the product photo on Amazon, you can't really see that the exterior top of the case has a raised surface, somewhat in the shape of a guitar body, but smaller. Inside, the lid is somewhat concave corresponding to it, but only partway down. At that point, they have soft padded area that covers most of the body from the soundhole down. This is the part that the knobs press into. Depending on model, I'd about bet an archtop could fit in this case also, but definitely do your research on that point. One minor knock...it has grey plush. Grey. It's relatively nice plush, shiny, thick and soft....but grey. Just doesn't work real well with the dark sunburst. But I'm giving it 5 stars because it's fine case, a good value and I'm picky about colors. Drives my wife nuts.

This is a beautiful, well-made case, that my 63 casino fits in snugly. I can fit some accessories in the large, covered pocket under the neck. The interior is plush, but not overly fluffy. I believe this case will protect my instrument very well.

Its a beautiful guitar case for sure. Its black leather very well built and great quality materials. It fits my Epiphone DR-500mce snugged in perfectly. It has cut aways for the electronics. The compartment inside fits all you need I even managed to fit a page turner pedal in there along with back up strings, capos, back up batteries, and sound hole cover. Pretty much everything you need. Now im not sure its as strong as other hard plastic gator cases I have owned but this one is a looker and can hold its own in protection.

Heavy and durable with excellent padding. Fits my Epiphone J-200 EC Studio guitar tight with no wiggle room. Not a light weight cheap case

Fits my Epiphone Casino perfectly. If possible, a place to put music in a hard case would be great. Overall very happy with this purchase

Very impressive externally with stitching to the hinged lid and matching gold hinges, clasps and studs to case. Equally impressive interior, padded and lined with gunmetal blue/grey napped cloth and neat storage compartment. The guitar fits snugly into its plush surroundings, and you can almost hear it sigh with disapproval when removed. I like it !

Impresionante por fuera y por dentro. Mi Hummingbird encaja perfectamente, incluso lleva rebajes para el ampli o la toma de cable. El forrado interior es espectacular. Contras: La funda más la guitarra pesan una enormidad. Saludos.
