This was easy to use
This was easy to use. The motor was a little louder than my more expensive incubator but the temperature remained very stable. I am not used to not having the electronic readout for temperature and humidity but the incubator works well. A digital thermometer/hygrometer can be placed inside if you really want to add one. I am monitoring percentage weight loss to determine how much water to add to the incubator so the hygrometer is not necessary. I hatched Sebastopol goose eggs. This is a great quality economical manual model, no frills but dependable, affordable, and even fits goose eggs!

Great product, easy to use!
Thanks Brinsea for the Mini II ECO. I was looking to help my nephew who is home schooled with a project. He decided to showcase Quail egg incubation and hatching. I choose the Mini II Eco as it suited my budget and didn’t know if I will ever use the incubator again , but to my surprise I have already hatched in the twice now. Because I work from home I opted for the manual turning kit which came with simple instructions. The project for my nephew was a huge success and he learnt a lot about incubation and hatching. He has kept the notes for future reference and those notes were helpful for me during the second hatch. The Mini II ECO was bought with the Semi Manual egg turner and Hatching mats. The turning kit was helpful because that meant I didn’t have to lift the lid to turn the eggs. The Mini II ECO came with easy to read instructions.

Great incubator
I let this incubator run for a couple of hours, and it held the temperature very well. You may have to adjust it with the little key they give you, but it works as it should! I will put some eggs in it this spring and will hope for the best!

Not expected product
I returned this product because it wasn’t what I expected. I guess I didn’t read the description well enough, so that’s on me but this particular Brinsea doesn’t have an automatic turner. Also, I returned this several weeks ago and have yet to. Get a refund. Having to work with Amazon to figure out the reason.

100% hatch
I bought this brinsea after having poor hatch rates in my old styrofoam incubator. I have never had a brinsea product before so I can't compare to any other product but I will say the incubator is a little noisy but I dont notice it until all the kids have gone to bed and it's not overly loud. It was very easy to set up. I did add an extra temp/humidity reader for peace of mind but it was present to the correct temp and I kept the one side of the water reservoir filled and it kept humidity between 35-40 the whole time. I have 100% hatch this first batch! I only put 4 eggs in to test it. I am very happy with this purchase. I wish I would have splurged for the automatic Turner version though.

Disappointed
Just received this item 8/17/18 plug it in and let it sit a day before putting 19 poultry eggs in. I've been using a diy tank incubator before getting and have had low hatch rates. Hoping this will ease my mind. But today 8/20/18 having issues with the motor/ fan becoming very loud like its bogging down or about to blow up. It's almost like having a weed Wacker in the house. I already registered the product with brinsea so well see if it needs to be fixed or replaced, and who's gonna pay for it to be shipped back. I just find it ridiculous that after of couple days of running I'm already having issues, this is supposed to be a good brand. Update 8/22/18 Still having issues with the fan according to Brinsea. They said they can ship a new fan or that I could return my product back to Amazon. For either option right now all 19 of my egg embryos are going to die because I can't get anything replaced in time. You can't replace death with money either. This is a huge disappointment. If your going to buy this you may as well have two extra fans on hand to make it to hatch day. 12/29/20 After getting the replacement fan this unit it worked alright. I've used it two other times for chicken and duck eggs. The duck eggs seemed to do better than the chicken eggs. I kept having chicken eggs from my own chickens that would start growing and then die in shell. And I'm currently using it for a mix of quail eggs. The problem is that this unit will no longer stay warm enough. The units thermometer reading 99 but I always put two different hygrometers in it. They read 89. Tried adjusting the temp with the little screwdriver it does nothing. Right now its almost hatch day for these quail but upon candling them last night none looked viable/ already dead. So there goes $50 for 30 quail eggs. What I did to bring the temp up to 99 - 100 by placing a heat lamp off to the side of the incubator in a small unused room in my house, but because I didnt catch the temp problem right away my eggs are bad. Im hoping I can get a replacement since I'm under the 3 year mark. Just for the price you expect more reliability.

Worth the price for the results.
I was looking to purchase an inexpensive incubator to hatch hen eggs as a hobby and sell some chicks. After researching there was good feedback about Brinsea products , I was looking to buy the Mini II Advance but decided to go with the larger Maxi II ECO as it cost me about $ 5 over my budget. But I had to turn the eggs manually. I found the auto turning kits from their website and that helped as I didn't have to lift the lid. The water fill from outside was the best and the hatching mat provide helped keep the incubator clean. 9 out of 12 eggs Hatched and that made me very happy.

Great for doing in classroom
This is a great incubator. I used to hatch chicks and we were lucky to have them all hatch. Loved the clear dome so we can see eggs while they hatch. I have hatch 5 chicks and they had plenty of room.

My very first batch gave me a 75% hatch rate! Which we we were very thankful for and followed directions to a T. But during the hatching we noticed the fan started make loud noises like it was revving up and dying out. We checked all cords but realized after all were hatched that it was full of chick down. So we followed instructions for cleaning throughly, dried the unit and then ran for 24 hrs to ensure all the water was out. The next day we started incubating another batch of eggs. We are 5 days in and the fan is totally malfunctioned. We will lose this entire batch as the temperature will barley maintain 95 and that’s with adjustments. My return window was two weeks ago, so I’m literally out $256 plus this batch of 22 eggs plus all the time trying to get the proper eggs collected, not to mention, I have to look for another incubator, and wait for it to be delivered. I’ve pretty much lost the entire season! Do not make the same mistake I did. DO NOT INVEST YOIR MONEY ON AN INCUBATOR ON AMAZON!

Fantastic little machine .. I don’t candle or check air sacks . This is the “incubator for dummies “. I did 12 Silkie eggs standing up in egg cups , 12 quail and 10 chicken eggs Easy to use my hatch rates have been 85-95%

Great little incubator, stable temp, easy to add water, perfect results x2 batches!
L**.
First two uses, factory set temp was fine. Third use temp fluctuated wildly, difficult to stabilize. On fourth use, temp not staying warm enough. Lack of humidity gauge is also not great. Had poorer hatch rates successively. Definitely doesn't surpass the great results of a good broody hen.
