Gel Fiber Side Sleeper Pillow, Queen

OK, I read all the reviews on this pillow I could find. The majority seemed to love it and the few that didn't...well, let's just say I don't understand the nature of their complaints. So I bought the pillow and it's been about a week now. I was having trouble staying asleep with my old pillows, which were just generic pillows bought at places like Kmart. I couldn't be happier. Unlike some of the naysayers, your head sinks to a point and then stops, with lots of proper support/good spine alignment. Almost immediately I fall asleep and when I do wake up in the middle of the night, I can go right back to sleep. I have very physical work, my body gets battered daily and I'm older now. Sleep doesn't come easy and I deal with considerable pain most nights.It seems to be very well made, but obviously I can't tell you how long it will last. In the research I did, they(the "experts") said to get new pillows every couple of yrs. Probably good advice considering you use these everyday of your life. Pay attention to the choices however, because good quality pillows are designed depending on if you are a side sleeper, stomach sleeper, or back sleeper. There are differences therefore in the pillows themselves for different sleep positions.Right now I couldn't be happier with this pillow...if this changes, rest assured I'll be back to update my review!

My wife and I bought two of these pillows over two years ago. They were the best pillows we've ever had. We are side sleepers. They stayed medium firmness until around the two year mark when they started causing us neck pain. I ordered one again from the same amazon listing, and it was much cheaper than before. It has been 5 months, and this thing is junk. It feels like a cheap feather pillow. I have to bunch it up to have even the slightest support. Very disappointed this time. Beware of fluctuating price and different sellers on this listing.

I own four of these pillows. They are soft and easy to maintain. I bought my first one (3 years ago) on a whim. I found myself waking up with neck pain and thought that I need to try a different kind of pillow. I was a little skeptical because the pillow did not seem firm enough, but after sleeping on it for a couple of nights, my neck pain went away. Its the only pillow i use now. This pillow will lose its fluffiness after a while, but with regular cleanings it will fluff up again and again and again. I wash mine once a month to maintain the fluffiness. This pillow is very well constructed. After three years of sleeping on it and washing it, It has not torn, frayed, or worn out. The material is still smooth and soft. I think it is a really good product.

Strangely, I had some sensitivity to the pillow's chemicals (?) and had bad dreams the first week I used this. Today I heard an interview with sleep doctor Michael Breus who said sometimes people have nightmares as a reaction to toxic mold or other chemicals. Apparently, my body did not like something inside this pillow, perhaps polyester gel fiber, so I wasn't imagining that my dreams took a strange turn all of a sudden. I now use the pillow for an occasional 2nd pillow as a prop. If you are sensitive to chemicals or have many allergies, take note. It's firm and a good size, so I can't complain about the actual dimensions. You can research nightmares and mold etc. online.

First of all, I LOVE how cool this pillow stays at night. I don't find myself waking up in the middle of the night and having to flip my pillow because I am too warm.That being said, as a side-sleeper, this pillow does not offer as much neck support as I was hoping. I will find myself oddly positioned when I wake up in the morning so that my head is nearly vertical against the pillow. I've found that this can be fixed fairly easily by laying the pillow nearly flat on the bed before resting my head on it. However, it didn't seem in any way special for a side-sleeper like myself.That being said, I do think I got a good deal for such a high-quality pillow. Usually I find pillows of this quality to be around $70-$100 in stores. Although it may not be a huge blessing for side-sleepers in particular, it is a very comfortable pillow and keeps you cool throughout the night.

This pillow is so far beyond adequate. I paid more for my Ikea down pillow, and it didn't last a year. This pillow is inexpensive, and extremely lofty. It looks magnificent on the bed, filling out my sham. Normally, my pillow shams look a little impotent and sad, but not when this pillow is around! These pillows are slightly heavier than the average bed pillow, due to composition. Pillow does not seem to hold excessive amounts of heat, and is very comfortable. I went from sleeping with three flat Ikea pillows to sleeping with just this one pillow. Another positive note, it doesn't fall down between the mattress and headboard all night long causing me untold amounts of grief. I call that progress.UPDATE: 8/3/2014- Pillow still holds shape and is fluffy. I have not washed or dried them, I prefer instead to use a pillow protector.

This in my opinion is a miracle pillow. I have to sleep on my side because of an apnea problem. Since getting this pillow I have had absolutely no trouble being comfortable, despite the fact that I have an injured back that makes lying on my side difficult and usually it is painful to get in just the right position. With this pillow there is absolutely no difficulty and I have slept well ever since receiving the pillow.Five stars.

This pillow is definitely for the side sleeper! It is way too thick to sleep on your back comfortably or on your stomach. It is made perfectly for a side sleeper. I do like this pillow but I don't love it. It is soft yet firm however I was hoping it would feel more luxurious to lie on. Not because of the fabric but the feeling you get when you lie on a really expensive pillow ( like that sweet squishy lying on a cloud feeling). I don't get that with this pillow which is disappointing but I suppose you have to pay more to find it. However for the price, this pillow does the trick.

Hands down the best pillow I’ve ever owned. I’ve had feather pillows and even those shredded memory foam pillows from popular online mattress companies. Those are way too expensive and doesn’t hold a candle to this. It’s firm but not hard and gives just the right amount of neck support for side sleepers.

Hello all, time for my honest review!This is the second one I received as the first one fell flat shortly after.BUT the second one was a lot better and still keeping its shape till this day now, almost 6 months.Very comfy pillow that jumps back into shape after you lift your head off of it.Pros:Very fluffyThick exteriorCons:First one I received got flat very quick.

Excellent down like pillow, love the tall 4.5” gusset (the tallest I could find) which provides ample support for back and side sleepers. My neck feels less sore when I wake up, and I rarely have shoulder pains since . However, similar to all other synthetic gel-like pillows, the support slowly and eventually goes away. I only have it for about a year, and maybe it's time for me to replace it already?

I am very pleased with this pillow. I have chronic issues with my neck and tried a lot of pillows over the years, both synthetic and feather. Other pillows always started out fluffy but would soon develop into a hard, flattened pad that refused to fluff up.This pillow has not lost it's fluffiness. I stopped sleeping with a second pillow because it provides enough support when I'm sleeping on my side. It's helpful when I have a migraine because it cradles my head and neck.

Doesn't seem to have much higher quality than my other cheap pillows...Pretty soft, personally don't find it good for sleeping on my side. May be right for you, but wouldn't recomend for anyone with wider shoulders looking for more neck support while sleeping on side.

I ordered this pillow because I was having trouble sleeping on my discount Walmart pillows. Tried it for one night (I left the plastic on and shoved it in a pillowcase) and wasn't very impressed. It's softer than I like, and I got the impression that it wouldn't hold shape very well. Very little difference to what I already had. I returned it after that one night.

The pillow is very soft (bought a pair), does not push back your neck and head.It forms around your head to some extent, making you feel comfy.For the price I'd say it's a great buy.Would recommend it to everybody.

Not regular size so pillow cases were an issue , was great for a week or so but now it's uncomfortable. Wouldn't buy again.

Perfect for side sleeper. I have been using a pair of goose down pillows for a decade, this pillow has improved my sleep since the first night I used it.

Great sleeping on this pillow. Hasn't sunk in, keeps its shape.

Took a few nights to get used to , but now I really like it!

Brilliant! Very comfortable, but quite soft and might not be ideal for only side sleeper.
