With my first son I used to buy only the cotton ones but honestly they look pretty bad after couple of washes. It’s not like the baby sleeps on it ;) so fleece is actually perfect since it’s so soft and for the 2-5 min the baby is actually on it it’s perfect. Washes great, looks great!

Softness is awesome, we love minky here and it holds up great for years! I bought this in black to blend in with my fireplace because my charging area is in the living room (gotta do what works for us!) and didn't really want it shown off. I prefer this to wipeable changing pad covers because it is warm and cozy for baby. If a mess might be made, I throw down a cloth diaper to protect it from getting poopy. It's not tricky to wash, but says to hang/lay dry, maybe to preserve the elastic? Next time I'll ignore that and tumble dry it with darks. The first time I washed it, it collected sand in the washer that won't shake or vacuum out, so if you look closely, it doesn't look as nice as it should. Would buy another if it was a little cheaper, but these days, what's cheap?

Very soft. Perfect. I bought it for the winter months while I'm changing my son. Great material. Haven't washed it yet so hopefully there isnt any crazy shrinkage.

These are definitely more gray and brown than the photo looked to me. I thought it might be a hint of pink-ish beige and white due to the sample images, but I was wrong. The material is super soft and they held up for the first wash so far and I plan on keeping them.
