First saw this in a NY Times (Wirecutter) review; they raved about it. Got one for myself and I can see why. Excellent product. It's on the smaller side and easy to carry around (fits nicely in a backpack), but super durable and extremely handy. The flexible legs are amazing. Truly innovative.

I use this tripod for backpacking because it is lightweight. I have a Fujifilm mirrorless camera that is use and it works well for that. The only complaint I have is it doesn't hold super well when wrapping around a vertical round surface. It either slides or tilts which throws off the shot obviously. But for uneven surfaces it works great. Overall I think it is the best compact tripod out there for the money.

I typically don't write such overly completely satisfied awesome product reviews so early but this piece of simple yet extraordinary equipment has surpassed all so called manufactured wonderfully amazing devices hands down, no holds barred. As you see in the photos the incredibly weird ways this flexible tripod holds and can be propped and manipulated to hold your video capturing equipment.I was on my way out of country for a property photo documenting capturing footage and I didn't have room for allot of my typical bulky equipment but something that's easy to use and perfect in every way. When I initially saw this on a YouTube review and I guess you've heard that saying, "If it's too good to be true then it simply is". Well this one has broken all the standards, pull all the plugs on ease, simplicity, light weight equipment, great value and about 100 other things.You will not be dissatisfied with this unless this is not what you were seeking this particular piece of equipment. The floating ball mount is a awesome addition that in itself is worth the price alone. So combined you get this incredible tripod, delivered as it is as exactly promised, delivered ontime, its cost more then worthy of all delivered and the ease and flexibility surpassed by no one on this one.I guess you see this is one satisfied customer. I have multiple of these Jobys in different sizes for different cameras. They come in handy for mounting to rails and other unorthodox places need a tripod to mount to almost anything. Joby makes it.

I use this for all of my review videos, cooking videos, blogs, Instagram etc... I use it mostly with my phone but could stick a really light camera on it for vlogging etc...I love that I can wrap it around stuff because the legs are bendable. It came nicely packaged with no issues.If you're used to the higher end gorilla pods this one may feel cheap to you because it's mostly plastic so keep that in mind.

I recently used this flexible tripod and found it quite practical. The wrappable legs are incredibly flexible, allowing me to secure my camera to almost any surface. It can hold various devices, like mirrorless cameras and video lights, as long as they weigh under 1 kg. Its compact and lightweight design makes it easy to carry around in my pocket or backpack. The rubberized grips on the rings and feet provide good stability, even on rough terrain.

I lost my old joby mount so I replaced it because I use it for everything smartphone related! Holds up my recipes or patterns, or to video call or watch a show. My only complaint is the mount for the phone is clumsy. I prefer the spring loaded clamp that easily rotates clockwise and counterclockwise wigg TV a simple twist. This one has to be unscrewed and adjusted which I found cumbersome, and only rotates in 1 direction to turn the phone sideways. Once I replace the mount I will be using it daily!

Tripod is excellent but …. I want a mount that will accommodate my phone’s Otterbox Defender case … no such luck. The protected phone is not held securely in the grip mount and I don’t want to taking the case off and putting it back on. Would love to know if there is a grip mount with adjustable arms to accommodate a case.

It really is a super nice tripod, but unfortunately it will start to crack and break after a maximum time of 5 mouths with heavy use, i use the tripod approximately ever single day for 4 mouths and it is now broken with cracked plastic and legs/balls that constantly pop out.And trust me, this is not a one time problem sense this has happened with ever Joby tripod I've owed, this is my 5:th one.

It is relatively light, and easily transportable. It's flexible legs allow it to stand in small spaces and attach to things. It has a ball socket to adjust the angle of the camera. It isn't 100% sturdy or stable, but it is better than not having it, and better than rigid tripods of this size. I find it works best with a delay timer to ensure stability when taking a shot. It is a tool worth having.
