Awesome!
Perfect for a 10-yr-old Bigfoot hunter!!! This is an awesome product! For the price this is very high-quality. When I got it, I knew I made a good choice buying this particular model. I don't know why it doesn't work for other people. Mine works perfectly fine. The IR (infrared) mode works very well. I am very happy with my choice. I recommend this item.

It Works Great
The focus & zoom are very sensitive Once you get that figured out you get a nice clear view.On a clear night I find you don't even need I.R. Light. Happy with My purchase.

Mine must have been defective?
I had been wanting to get some night vision for Various reasons including Tactical. I had purchased another called Adeoptics and is the same as the Yukon.. It seems the same NV Device is being marketed under Different names..? I odered the first Adeoptics as It was cheaper then the Yukon although the same scope.. That First one from Adeoptics was terrible! It was like looking through a Petri Dish filled with crap.. The view was filled with black dots and parasite looking debris.. I sent it back.. I tried this Bushnell Scope as the reivews looked good on it and the Name Brand.. I don't know why but I could not see anything at all cearly! Just blobs.. It could not focus on anything? It also appeared to have a very short range. I did like the fact it was small and runs on AA Batteries. However, I sent this one back Immediately! I was leary about ordering any more on Amazon..I thought I was going to be refunded by the Company I bought the first Adeoptics scope from but they sent me another scope as replacement.. The Second Adeptec scope I received was MUCH BETTER!!! I am happy now! Definitely look around and read the reviews!

Great for the price
It works, that's for sure. However, make sure you understand the different types of night vision in order to get the type that is appropriate for your application. I bought this device specifically for the low power optics (only 2x) because I want to use it for around the house, not for hunting. Being a generation 1 device it is NOT like the military style night vision you see in movies or video games. Those are generation 3 or 4 optics that have computers aiding the optics, and cost significantly more, are much larger and much heavier. While using the device without the IR illuminator, there must be some light around for the device to amplify. Basically, things that are just outside of the range of your eyes will become visible through the monocular. If you need to see something in the dark, or the area doesn't have quite enough light, the IR illuminator will act like a spotlight, lighting up the object you're looking at. When using the IR illuminator, you can't see the beam, but for some reason the illuminator does have a red light in it. So if you're going to use this to sneak up on someone or remain fully hidden, I'd suggest not using this model. It seems very rugged, simple and easy to use and has a carrying case with it. It's got a lens cover with a tiny hole so you can test it in the light. The monocular has a significant 'fish eye' effect from having small lenses, and the resolution is decent, but grainy. To be fair, you shouldn't be buying a cheap Gen 1 night vision device to be doing anything precision or super important anyway, and this monocular is worth the price.

Not what i needed
It's not bad but my use was for coyote hunting and I tested in a field on a over cast night with little light with the IR on I watched some deer about 50yrds away and could not really tell what it was after spooking the deer it started testing the unit on a tree line and I would say the max range for any type of night hunting would be about 50-75yrds max not a bad unit for the price but not what I am looking for now I knew this was not the quality of a 1,000$+ unit but I don't know what good this unit is unless your just playing the house or back yard

great entry level NVD
I have used more expensive ones and they are great, but is a fantastic entry level night vision device. It takes what little bit of light there is and allows you to see (and green hues). If there is no ambient light, you can turn on the IR light. Yes, this will light you up light a beacon if someone else is using such a device, but it does a great job making everything visible. Price fluctuates a bit.

Bushnell night watch 2x24, w/built on infrared monocular
When I bought this item, I thought you could really zoom in and see far away. But that is not the case. It does not go as far as, I would like it to go. We have a snake in a tree and a racoon, and I THOUGHT IF I BOUGHT THIS ITEM I COULD SEE DEEP IN THE TREE, TO SEE WHICH ONE WILL WHEN THE FIGHT OVER THE OTHER. It is very clear from side to side, but, does not go very far long distance.I do not reccommend this item, it is not what I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE, FOR NIGHT VISION, INFRARED MONOCULAR. I ONLY GIVE THIS ITEM TWO STARS.Jim in Ohio

Fun Binocular
Got this for a Fathers Day gift, he loves it!! Of course I had to take it out of the package and try it before we gave it to him, it was just as described. We could see in total darkness, the viewing field is somewhat small up close but it is sufficient to play around with. I could see my dog who was running down the yard, (about 300 or more feet)in total darkness. It is a fun binocular. My dad wanted one to see the wildlife at night at his home.
