Great LED lightbars for my fish tank and even greater customer support
Purchased a pair of these 19.2" (12W) lightbars in July 2025. Really love the 24/7 light mode, which mimics the daylight cycle and makes the fish tank look amazing. All the fish colors seem more vibrant. Recently, in October, had a failed LED (out of 72 LEDs per lightbar). Contacted Hygger via emails for warranty support. The tech was very prompt in response and walked us through a simple troubleshooting process. Then after, the tech sent out the replacement unit. While having no issues is always an ideal experience, having a great warranty support is right next to it. Highly recommend these lightbars to everyone, who looks to light up their aquarium tank.

AUTOMATIC LIGHTING . . .
I got this because I'm away from home sometimes & my live plants suffer. As noted in another review, the instructions are not clear and I had to experiment a lot before I figured out how it works. If you don't want Auto lighting then you have a choice of colors, time & intensity. The "trick" with Auto light is that it's geared to be activated at 8am. So if you want it to come on earlier you have to cheat it. Also you have to turn it on for regular light before you can set Auto. So turn on room lights if you're trying to set it before daylight so you're not shocking the fish with super bright light. I want mine to come on at 5am, which means first you turn on the regular light switch at 7am, then hit the 24/7 button. It runs it's cycle that first day, then resets to the "cheated time" from then on. A couple of hours of gradually increasing "dawn" light, then full spectrum lighting throughout the day, followed by a gradually darkening "moonlight" til it shuts off. Depending on when you want light cycle to come on/go off is how you pick the "cheat" time. The plants really like all that light but you may get extra algae growth. I usually don't leave Auto on when I'm home. I just turn the light on/off like a regular light then which cuts down on algae growth without a negative impact on the plants. It is fun to watch it go through Auto mode though. Mine is not submerged. It's under the hood on top of the glass splash guard. This is on my breeding Discus tank, both plants & fish are thriving.

Easy to set up in 24/7 mode
I love the lighting. It was easy to set up in 24 hour mode - you just push the 24/7 button until the right time of day is lit. I love this mode because I don't have to remember to turn the lighting on and off - and it works while I'm on vacation. I also think the simulated day/night light is better for the fish than a sharp turn on/off. I wish the suction cups were adjustable. I didn't want to attach the light to the lid because the light's electrical cord limits where I can put the lid when I want to lift it to work with the fish. When I put it in the middle-back of the tank, the lighting was uneven and looked funny. I wanted to angle the light at about 45 degrees to point into the tank from the upper front edge. Luckily I had suction cups that I could use in place of those provided - and the ones provided were easy to remove by rotating them 90 degrees and gently pulling out.

Worth it!
I absolutely loved the full spectrum lighting but I never could get the timer to work. I submerged this light bar in my outdoor aquarium during the fall to keep my plants alive and my fish looking vibrant. The first couple of days it was extremely clear and then the inside clouded up. The light bar looked as though water was inside it the second week but it didn’t affect the lighting. I had for 6 months however it didn’t survive the last ice storm. My outdoor aquarium is double walled and is kept at 75 degree with further insulation during the freezing temperatures. I don’t think it was due to a fluctuation of temperature but it still cracked and filled up with water. The light bar plastic was very brittle when I took it out of the water. Within the 5 month window is when the lights started disintegrating and dimming. It is worth the purchase.

Great lights with timer and colors.
Better than expected. I could not find a replacement light for my tank lid; this was a much cheaper solution and easier.

I will never purchase from this seller again!!
I love this product however, after 6 mos. the light flickered one time on one end. By that evening the light had 6 bulbs working. I took the light out and examined it to find that the light had moisture all in it which of course shouldn't be occurring because it is a submersible product. Upon further inspection I found a 2 " crack on the backside on one end of the light, and on the other end, a1 1/2 crack on the backside of the casing. The shipping box that it came in is in perfect condition, blemish free, which can only point to the fact that this aquarium light was damaged prior to shipping! I'm not real sure but I would think that if that light had lost suction (because I had it suctioned to the bottom of hood assembly) it could have killed my very expensive and most enjoyably fish.. which I would be doing more than just writing a review of this seller. Great product not positive on the seller.\

NOT SUBMERSIBLE! Not worth it for plants
I had this glued to the lid of one of my aquariums for extra light for plant growth.(15g fluval flex). One of the suction cups came undone and water got into the light and fried it. Thankfully, my who tank wasn't zapped. FYI. The output on this was decent (while it worked), compared to other submersibles. But, you'd need 4 or 5 of these for enough plant light. Skip the submersibles.
