Tablet
This is the second surface my husband has purchased form here. The first one was an older version and it still works great, he just wanted to upgrade. Great spewed and sleek finish! You may have to purchase a memory bank and you can use it with a hard drive

Full computer in tablet form
This is a complete PC the size of a tablet. I between 5-8 hours for complete work, fast charging. Best Surface Pro to date .

LAPTOP NOT NEW. EXTREMELY DIFFICULT RETURNS. AVOID OE USA SELLER.
OE USA AVOID AT ALL COST. Agreed to return and refund (not free btw) and then went radio silent after receiving the item. Still unresolved weeks later...The laptop they sent us appeared to be defective and was overheating "out of the box" (overheating appears to be a trend with these...) I'm not confident the laptop was actually brand new. They then threatened to charge $100 for a box they claimed they didn't have and refused to issue the refund as previously agreed. STAY AWAY FROM OE USA.

If you need MS Office, you want the Surface Pro
Overall, a good tablet. There are times, when trying to advance a video, using your finger, there is no response. Also, on using the "slide" on the right side to move down or up does not respond 100% of the time.

On arrival battery failure.
The battery on this device does not store power. The charger is not to blame as the device only stays on so long as I have my charger connected. I am running the device at low power mode and that doesn't change the nonexistent rate of charge.I can not update the device unless I have enough power to do so and to confirm this I have restarted the device to factory settings in order to see if updates were unavailable due to a software error. Thought successfully reset I could not update the device and I don't have a functioning battery.

MICROSOFT, PLEASE READ THIS
I have had every model of Surface Pro since SP3 (except SP7). The SP8 is a great upgrade. I have the i7, 16gb, 1T model of SP8. HOWEVER, MS made a really STUPID design decision. All ports (and the volume controls) are on OPPOSITE sides of the device -- the side ends in landscape and the top and bottom ends in portrait. Some of us use the device in PORTRAIT mode, even when docked. With ports (and the volume controls) on both short ends, ports inevitably are blocked in portrait mode. The volume controls are pressed when the SP8 is resting in portrait mode on the end opposite to the side with thunderbolt and surface connect ports. SP8 has one long side with NO ports or controls. Why? SP7 and earlier had ports on a short end, and power and volume controls on a long end, which was much more FUNCTIONAL for a device that is supposed to be VERSATILE for multiple use scenarios.

Not New plus Defective
Nowhere in the posting could I find reference to this item being refurbished, but that’s what I received. Maybe not the end of the world but it had sticky gunk on the back and it wouldn’t connect to WiFi (all necessary troubleshooting done by an IT professional) out of the box.
