Definitely Worth It
I installed this myself and was impressed with how straightforward the process was. The instructions were clear, and everything needed came in the box. I probably didn't need all the features this opener offers, but I saw it as a way to future-proof my setup—and I'm glad I did. The belt drive is ultra-quiet, which makes a huge difference when the garage is under a bedroom. The door opens smoothly and confidently, with enough lifting power for my insulated double-door. The integrated myQ app works well and gives me peace of mind when I'm away—I can check the door's status or open/close it from anywhere. It even alerts me if I forget to close it. One of my favorite features is the corner-to-corner LED lighting. It really brightens the entire garage, not just the area around the opener, which is a big upgrade over my old setup. Overall, this opener feels like it was designed with real-life use in mind. It is quiet, smart, powerful, and thoughtfully lit—highly recommended.

Great Opener
My first ever garage door opener. Between the opener and getting professionally installed it was $515 which is cheaper then the $850 the home builder wanted to charge me for them installing one in 2020 (which is was not going to have the backup battery like this one does). And another bonus is that I don't have to pay interest on the garage door opener for 30 years because it was not added to the price of the house. Never bothered to get one for 4 yrs of owning my brand new home but since we have a baby on the way in one month it was time to get one for hot and rainy days here in Texas weather. The garage door opener is awesome, it have a backup battery that the installer told me it lasts 10 cycles after power is out and leaving in hurricane zone that is a must. The design is nice and clean. The lights on it definitely provide great additional light to the one my garage has. Now with the opener installed it casts a shadow with the garage light alone but with the opener 1000 lumnes in each side it provides the light needed to have no shadows. When closing the opener with the APP it starts beeping to alarm people if around so they can know to move away from the area to a safe place. Great feature see video. Also the light sensors work great. And also when the door is closing and it comes across anything it backtracks to not crush anything on the door. Iused my hand and didn't really apply much force up and it worked like a charm. See video. Overall I am happy with it. Time will tell how long it lasts only had it for less then a week for now. Noise I find it normal but can't compare to other openers as this is my first time owning one and being close to one while in operation. The installer also connected the opener to my vehicle and the two portable opener buttons it comes with and it works as it should!

Nice garage door openers
Bought two of these to replace two that got zapped by lightning. They work great and are quiet. Also like the light on both ends of the motor housing. Would recommend..!!

Great Garage door opener !!
I am a DIY er not to well versed with installing garage door openers. I bought this one...Best price I could find. I was installing this at my daughters home. I pre-assembled the motor and track and belt unit. Very easy to do. I then took it in my truck and finished the install. I had a helper for the day to help with the install. Completed the job in under 4 hours. I could have done it without help. You only need help placing the unit in place. Great opener. Very quit. Very sturdy. The LED lamps are very bright. A great feature. A garage door company wanted $1400 to install the same unit. Parts included. I did it for under $400 including my helpers time! It is a pretty easy job that most DIY ers can handle!

A lot to like but some misses.
Firstly, I should say that the motion detection feature does not apply here- the opener shipped with a notice that the motion detector was control was not available due to supply chain issues. To Chamberlain's credit they made a very easy to use website to request a replacement when it becomes available. On the downside, who knows when that will happen. I won't fully complete my install until that arrives. This was bought to replace a Genie gear drive model from about 15 years ago. I was hoping for quieter operation, better lighting, and updated connectivity. It delivered pretty well on these items. For my install, I benefited from the existing hardware and did not need to make any major modifications. Instructions were very good, but I wish the print was larger... Wear your glasses at all times. Things I really like about this opener: Very quiet as advertised. The motor has a somewhat higher pitch than I expected, but overall very preferable to the low but intense hum of the Genie gear drive that was replaced. I should note that I replaced the original rollers with better sealed bearing models around the same time so the overall noise reduction is a combination. But the opener here made the biggest difference for me. The install went relatively easy, did it by myself. I consider myself an "intermediate plus" at tackling projects. I found that I had all the tools necessary but I have owned my home for 18 years. If you're a brand new homeowner, some tools like an impact wrench, etc. might make the job easier. So the assembly of the opener is very straightforward. The hanging of the rail and motor are pretty easy as well, but especially if you are replacing an existing install. I would not have attempted this if there were no opener in place- this is the third one in our garage, and the first one I did myself. I don't recommend installing any opener for the first time by yourself unless you are an advanced or trained person. Anyway, on to my complaints. Although they did pretty well, overall, the safety sensor brackets are almost a COMPLETE FAIL. Firstly, the design allows some fine adjustability, but not where it matters most. They hope you can clip these on to your existing rails. Ha ha. No way the clips are wide enough to accommodate any rail made. Then, the brackets they provide are so short from the wall that you are almost guaranteed to have to extend them. Why not just make them longer, or add some adjustability? Must be the money. So I had to work hard to extend them to the right length. Cut some 2x4 pieces, then added 6 washers with the screws to get the right length. This is not a strength area, so please Chamberlain make it easier for your customers to make this adjustment. A few dollars would not kill anyone here to make a better bracket. Finally, an aesthetic thing- maybe most annoying, and showing the most lack of attention to detail. Cable management. The opener ships with some "insulated staples" to be used for running the sensor wires. I threw them away already because they are absolutely dreadful. For a residential garage that you might want to look nice, these won't work- they look like a late 60s Christmas light display on steroids. Please do better here. An industrial application, maybe but for most homeowners I don't think this will cut it. Also, and there are videos available and I may have seen too late- the sensor cables can be run right down inside the rail! I was able to run the wires fairly discreetly outside abut inside the rail would have been much more preferable. It seems that Chamberlain dropped the ball significantly here. Shame, shame shame. They don't seem to care much about the customer experience. I hope they are reading these reviews.

Quick and Easy Upgrade
Used to replace another Chamberlin Garage door opener. My old one died after about 15 years. Decided to replace it with this model. This one has 2 LED lights unlike the other. No camera (already have one outside the garage). The great thing is that it used the same rails from my old opener, so the install was pretty quick. One negative is no remote keypad to open the garage. It is quiet (more so that the previous opener I had). Also programing it was a lot easier than my previous opener (you just have to set the end position of the opener, and it will determine the force needed).

Always go for higher HP.
Very quiet. Like how it slows down when nearing the end of the run.

Lack of Information & Old Review Images Lead to Confusion
I'm leaving this review in the hopes of helping someone else having the same issue after the opener arrives. I haven't been able to install the 2 openers I purchased yet because we are trying to figure away around a support beam in our garage ceiling. If you have limited space due to a support beam or something similar blocking the way, please see a review from Matt for this product. Matt mentions trying to work around a support beam and shows pictures. In his review he mentions "...we found out that it's about 123" in length with the motor and rail system attached. Our garage has a large unmovable support beam in the way at 118”. We cut off about 8” from one of the middle rail pieces and also cut the belt." My calculations were similar to Matt in that 123" is needed, but you'll also need an additional 12" to allow for the back-up battery door to swing open. So you'll need a total of 135" to comfortably fit this unit onto your garage ceiling. Otherwise, you'll be left cutting one of the metal rail pieces like Matt mentioned in his review which will then necessitate cutting the belt. Chamberlain offers a splicing kit to put the belt back together if you need to cut it. Search Amazon for "Liftmaster 041B5669 Belt Shortening Kit Belt Clip and Link For Splicing". We currently have older Chamberlain models installed. Everything should have lined up perfectly so we could just remove the old motor units and install the new motor units on our two garage doors and be done. No need to install any other parts. This ended up being incorrect. I thought the lights would be to the sides of the rail because of multiple customer reviews with pictures showing exactly that - lights to the sides of the attached rail, just like our currently installed older units. Notice these pictures are from reviews from 2021 and earlier. Chamberlain has made a change to this product or Amazon has repurposed a product page from an older Chamberlain product. The rail now attaches front to back instead of side to side, meaning there must be additional space to install this unit compared to the older one pictured in the reviews. Unfortunately, even with cutting a rail piece, the install doesn't work for us. It's unfortunate Chamberlain would change the unit alignment as a lot of people have older units installed with the lights off to the side and it would have made for an easier motor unit replacement. It's also unfortunate Chamberlain does not mention this change anywhere. Nor do they mention anywhere on this listing or on the box that this product, sold as is, is for 7' tall garage doors. If you have an 8' or 10' tall garage door, please know you will be spending quite a bit more money to buy new rail and belt kits. Something else I would like to note for others is Chamberlain does not make it easy to calculate the length of the rail pieces if you do need to cut them. Nowhere do they mention... *the included (4) 25.5" rail pieces are 21" each when connected together for a total of 84" or 7' *the standard rail header piece is 25.5" connected *ignore that because the 25.5" standard rail header length is not included as part of the total 7' assembled rail length *the 8' and 10' rail kits (purchased separately) have a 37.5" rail header piece *when calculating the length of the 8' and 10' rails, do not include 25.5" of the rail header as part of the rail but DO include the additional 12" (37.5" longer header piece - 25.5" standard header piece) added to the rail header piece Put simply, this product should be sold as 3 different SKU's for the 3 different rail lengths - 7', 8' or 10' - and should include the proper belt. Or, if Chamberlain continues selling it as one SKU, it should be made clear on the box that it contains 7' rail and belt kits and an additional purchase will be required for those with 8' and 10' tall doors.
