This was one of the best things I've ever purchased. The paddles have made many games infinitely more comfortable and ergonomic to play. No more claw shaped hand needed to play Elden Ring. I love the ability to endlessly re-map the paddles to accommodate whatever game I'm playing. I couldn't imagine playing without them now.I will say that the installation was a journey in and of itself. The tutorial on their youtube channel is a necessity, I can't fathom doing it without it. I am not too proud a man to say that I am helpless at this type of thing, and the moment I opened up my controller I feel like I made a grave mistake. But I took a deep breath and followed the tutorial to a T. When I closed up the controller and switched it on, I fully expected it not to work- but it did! It may sound a little pathetic, but I felt SO accomplished afterwards. Not only did I get the benefit of the paddles themselves, but I accomplished something I never thought I could. Boosted my controller and my self confidence.

I decided not to solder the touchpad button, but I did solder in the flex cable to be able to remap L3/R3. The soldering itself is pretty simple and you have some space to work, so if you have a finer tip, you could probably do it no problem. There is a lot of disassembly and fiddly little ribbon cables to pull out and reattach, and something could go wrong at any turn. Make sure you watch the entire installation video before you decide to risk it. This mod is also almost totally reversible, but I hope to never open this controller again...even a future battery change will be complicated by the added ribbon cables and adhesive.That said, the rubberized grips are awesome, and the K1/K2 buttons are well placed, nicely sized, and give good feedback. Programming them on the fly is also really easy to do. I used Astro's Playroom to check all my controller functions after installation, and tested the headphone jack and mic as well...so far, so good. We'll see how long this piece of kit holds up, but as it stand, I am very happy.The install video is very detailed, and very easy to follow. If you are going to make the attempt, be sure to take your time, pause, and rewind as needed. I was confused by the prompts to "skip if you aren't soldering" but you do need everything in the box, save the skinny L3/R3 cable unless you intend to solder that on the board. The included tools were definitely good enough to get the job done and they threw in a bunch of spare screws as well.

I had received a PS5 controller on launch with a triangle button that did not work at all… shelved it for years until I said screw it and looked into some fun mods while trying to see why that button didn’t work.I ended up buying this kit along with the eXtremeRate clicky button upgrade kit. Both of these combines have made this my go to controller for games that I don’t want missed inputs. PRESS WITH CONFIDENCE 🤣The back paddles are super easy to remap and use. Installation was actually not too bad for someone that has opened electronics semi frequently. You only need to solder if you want buttons like the touch pad or L3/R3 mapped onto the paddles. (I didn’t even bother!)If I were to be nit picky I would suggest a profile button. Switching between games has be remapping the paddles more often than expected. But it works flawlessly.Be sure to check out their YouTube channel for some super easy to follow install guides. It was time coded with steps you can skip for non soldering folk too.

This product is garbage. There is a good chance you will break your controller or drop some key part of it and lose it with the installation process for this product. The process is ridiculously long and requires you to mess with the circuitry. On top of it, this doesn't even work on all of the default dual sense PS5 controllers. Apparently there are newer models if you purchased it within the last few years that aren't even BDM-10 or 20, which you won't even know unless you open up the controller.

Just built a controller for a buddy and put this in it and this thing gets 5 stars all the way, the rubber feels similiar to a stock xbox elite, the back paddles are perfectly placed and have a satisfying click. Whole thing works flawless with the tactile triggers and LED kit (if you're into that, my buddy is)And now I'm jealous of my buddy and quite upset that this kit isn't out for the switch pro controller yet. While i was installing it i held up the back attachment as a mock up to one of my 3 (already decked out in extremerate mods) switch pro controllers and it totally works. And I would KILL for some pro controller handles wrapped in this rubber.My buddy is now calling out pings in Halo like there's no tomorrow, and I'm over here like a chump tryna push the dpad up just because i prefer my pro controllers over my elite (no gyro) and PlayStation (stick layout) controllers.Clicky face buttons too, i recently fried a pro controller board trying to solder that one in myself, oro controller fans want nice things too guys.I'd recommend this kit to literally anybody who likes the ps5 controller, 5 stars all the way.

Instructions are thorough and yet a bit vague if you are only looking to add few extra buttons which it was my case but after watching their full installation video multiple times and as I was doing the install it worked perfectly and still using it.Perhaps a down side, the rubber feels a bit rough, at first I thought it wasn’t rubberized and it was just plastic that is why I took one star away
