Hot and steamy with good story
Scorching, sizzling and flaming🔥🔥🔥🔥The Legacy by Dylan Allen, book #1 in Rivers Wilde series was quite refreshingly a beautiful romance between 2 people who could not be any more different. Hayes is born to wealth, the billionaire heir to an empire called Kingdom and Confidence is, as Hayes thinks not good enough to bring home as she definitely lacks pedigree having born poor in a small back town of Arkansas. The initial scene left me feeling flabbergasted, for a few pages I wasn’t even sure if that was the introductory scene of the heroine but then an accident occurs and the banter between Hayes and Confidence was superlative. The dialogues were peppered with such humor that there was a constant smile on my face reading them and the burning chemistry between the leads made the scenes red-hot!Hayes had some growing up to do to understand his life’s choices and direction and Confidence does play a very solid and sensible counterpart but with a huge chip on her shoulders. It was the 2nd part of the book that literally elevated the book and made it totally different. I loved how the environmental concern like floods and Confidence’s mission in creating awareness was woven thru the storyline and then a small twisty surprise with Hayes’s legacy in the climax was thrilling at best.Excellent wring by Dylan Allen and if this is the level of blazing romance in every book, I am really looking forward to the series!

awesome book
Amazing book. I liked Confidence's character. Very strongly portraying her personality. But now I want to reed what Demi's story is. I loved his character and can't wait to see who steals his heart.

I need more!
Confidence Ryan lives up to her name! And what a character. Man, she's truly incredible. Plus, I liked that while Hayes was a tough guy, he also had this soft side.Dylan Allen is always so good with her storytelling and this was no different. I loved the characters and the world and the complicated twists and turns. I cannot wait for the next in the series!

Perfection written in bold letters all over the pages!
I was too much excited to read The Legacy as soon as the cover and blurb came out. And it has exceeded all my expectations and then some. Dylan Allen always surprises me with something new with each of her book. The Legacy has the same surprise element.I am not going to talk about the plot because you need to read it on your own. But I will talk about how the author has written a flawless smooth and flowing plot. Just like a river's water, it will flood your mind till you gasp under the pressure of the emotions and drama. I want to talk about Hayes Rivers. I am totally in love with this strong, powerful, confident, controlling yet vulnerable man. I wanted to burrow inside the pages to comfort him or slap him, depending on the prevailing state of my mind. I want to talk about Confidence. What an amazing female lead! So many layers, so many facets and so many admirable qualities in a woman!I want to talk for hours about the beautiful words and conversations. My inside heated and melted with the love story of Confidence and Hayes. It was unconventional and original. It was full of drama, passion, hot-as-sin sex, heartbreak and above all the absolute thrilling connection of two human hearts. You will never know what will hit you next in the story. You won't want to leave them for a moment. The Legacy is probably the best work by Dylan Allen. It has perfection written in bold letters all over the pages. An absolutely riveting and mindblowing story.(Received ARC for Honest review)

An entertaining tale
After purchasing this box set I realised I’d already read this the first book as a freebie not so long ago , but hey ho it was good to refresh my memory of the events even if I was a tad annoyed at myself . The story is about two families the Rivers & the Wildes who had a major falling out and how the secrets lies and sins of the past resurface and cause quite a few upsets . This book is about Hayes Rivers who at a tender age lost his mother ,his father married again but his stepmother was not that nice to him . When at fourteen his father died as a result of a brain tumour and left the entire River fortune to Hayes ,but due to his age his Uncle was given power to run it . Hayes was sent away to live with his Aunt Gigi in Italy ,who up until then Hayes hadn’t known existed . He returned to claim his inheritance and run the business when he was old enough to but is none too pleased to discover how inept his Uncle has been in taking care of it . Of course whilst in Italy he was never short of female company even having a very short lived disastrous marriage . Now divorced he was not looking for any hook ups but a chance meeting at a wedding changes his mind . Enter Confidence who’s had her fare share of drama and has secrets of her own , and unlike a Hayes was certainly not born into the wealth that Hayes was . That doesn’t stop a beautiful love story developing between them their sexual chemistry sizzles and crackles from the first meeting . Can Hayes and Confidence have a happy ending when all the secrets from both of them emerge ,more importantly can they survive the storm that follows ? 😍😍 What I will say is that the ending is perfect ❤️. Now onto Remington Wilde’s story .

He's my river. I am drowning in him. And I don't want to be rescued.
Hayes was sexyyyy! Rich, arrogant, with a heart of gold. Confidency was also sexy. She was a warrior for social justice who had a huge chip on her shoulder. They meet and it's lust at first sight. Then hate because of a little misunderstanding. Then straight back into lust again. I guess that's what hanging off a cliff ledge will do to you. Their lust quickly grew into love and it was beautiful...Until it wasn't...This was shaping up to be a five star read. But when Confidence had Hayes humbling himself a step too far, I wasn't having it. I'm all for a good grovel when a man has done his woman wrong. But Hayes wasn't completely to blame and Confidence needed to get off of her cross. Can a man get a moment to explain? Especially for thinking and saying stuff before he even knew you? When a man consistently shows and proves his love and devotion, can you maybe throw him a bone and not throw it back in his face? Maybe don't be unnecessarily disrespectful and rude. I get feeling hurt, but if there's love in your heart, which there obviously although she tried to hide it, you should never be so cruel.Whew! Glad I got that off my chest! Overall, it was a great read.

A convoluted plot and an editorial disaster.
The main problem with this book is the pathetic lack of editing. Missing words, poorly formed sentences, grammatical errors, great big holes in the plot, mistakes in the timeline, character mix-ups, and on and on it goes. It is a sad state of affairs when the author cannot keep her own characters straight. The entire book is rife with stereotypes, a contrived and convoluted plot and remarkably unrealistic characters. My first and last book by this author.

I really struggled to rate this book. It debuted strong, the chemistry between the characters is there... but... so many inconsistencies, out-of-character reactions and strange plot twists made me sometimes want to give up on this novel.

Hard to read
I just finished this book and while I mostly enjoyed the story it became very hard to follow and read.I can't imagine how hard it is to write a book and get it published but the typos, missing words and double words makes reading difficult. Not to mention that the action changes from one sentence to the next. In one chapter the fathers name changes to James instead of Jason. She is wearing a tank top, cut offs and flip flops but he pushes her skirt up to her waist. He has her pinned against the sink with both hands holding the counter but his back is against the door locking it and then he is striding towards her. This is just a few of the problems throughout the book and it seriously takes away from the storyline plus the timeline seems to be off.I am a person who reads every word and when I have to keep turning pages cause it seems like I jumped a chapter cause what is written it different then the sentence above. Even in the bonus chapter-Remi picks up Phoenix to wipe his face but JJ doesn't wake up when his face is wiped.
