Used these replacement filters on an RO system that was installed in a house we recently bought. Took a few cycles for water to clear up but working great now. Water is very good

Thought it was GE Brand because the way it was pictured, you have to read description notbonly that, Say company has it cheaper here on Amazon with Prime as well plus it Didnt come with replacement o rings ! Im using anyways since i ny o rings are ok because i use plumners grease each time i replace anything to do with water and rubber! high recommend plumbers grease local hardware store sells a tube in plumbing area!

I want to give a 5 and request that the seller makes a couple things clear in his kit: a simple piece of paper describing which of the 2 filters is the pre-filter and which is the post filter. They are not original brands and they are 2 different brands so you have to do the cross reference research yourself. The seller assumes that the buyer should know that. The seller should also mention that the RO membrane is smaller than the original. It fits perfectly but the membrane portion itself is smaller so I called him to make sure he had sent the right one. Let me repeat, it fits perfectly, it just looks different. All of these things caused me extra time so I'm giving a 4 star rating. Overall, the parts went in perfectly and I recommend this replacement kit.

These don't come with instructions nor do they have any instructional information on the actual units. I had to look up a youtube video for how to install these. What no one tells you-in the reviews or youtube videos or even GEs actual product site- is that there will be water EVERYWHERE when you're taking out the old pieces and when you're testing out the new ones. Also, run your water for a couple of days through it. The first 48 hours after installing these the water was super bubbly with what I am telling myself was filter charcoal flakes (if it wasnt charcoal I dont want to know what it was but that's what it looked like).

As others have said the RO filter is smaller, about 1/2 the size, of the original I was replacing but it does fit fine and work. For the cost savings it is worth having the smaller filter to me. As for which goes first, just think about it. What would be the point of having a 1 micron filter go before the 5 micron filter. So of course the 5 goes before the 1. Follow the water lines if you are not sure which side is in and which side is out. Overall I'm happy with the set and the cost. Even got it from Amazon Warehouse for additional savings!

As already pointed out, there is a problem to determine what the Pre-filter and Post-filter is. However, the labels indicate that one filter prevents passing of 5 micron particles, i.e., Pre-filter (left side), and the other prevents passing of 1 micron particles, i.e. Post-filter (right side). It will be useful, if the provider(s) indicate this clearly in an accompanying leaflet.

Easy to install. Fill/drain tank twice. No funny taste to water. Use it for cooking and making ice.When old filters removed the primary filter is typically nasty. Secondary not so bad. So o believe they are working as intended to provide cleaner drinking water.

The filters fit my GE osmosis system and are much cheaper than in the retail stores. The reverse membrane is smaller in circumference than the one I replaced but it fits and works.
