Originally released in 2004, the brute force and emotional power on "You Fail Me" is unparalled. Solidifying their reign in the genre that they have de ned for over two decades. Never quite content with the original mix, "You Fail Me" Redux was remixed by guitarist Kurt Ballou at his God City studios. The release was also remastered by Alan Douches (Motorhead, Mastodon), and repackaged (new artwork, 4-panel gatefold plus outer sleeve) by vocalist/artist Jacob Bannon. Review: I consider this their best with Jane Doe nipping at it's heels - This is an incredible album if you are into this style of music. I consider this their best with Jane Doe nipping at it's heels. Converge at their height. By it now. I am 54 and I have bee a huge fan of Converge since day one. Review: Essential hardcore. - The remix sounds amazing and does justice to the original album.

Masterpiece!
I’ve loved Converge forever. They can’t do wrong. With that being said, The Dusk in Us is my favorite Converge album. They’ve reached yet another level. This is an album for all time.

Brutally Great
Converge continues to dominate the metal genre with this pummeling release. Right from the start you are on a ride of extreme brutality and then slowed down to digest the dread of the world. The band has yet to release a bad album and I'm happy that this one continues the streak. The only thing I don't like about this album is really a personal preference, I always believe Converge is at its best when they are going full blast and fast with their heaviness ("I Can Tell You About Pain" and "Under Duress" for example) but kinda lose the plot a little bit when they go soft and slow ("The Dusk In Us" for example) These soft spots on the album kinda drag at points and dare I say bore me a little. But thankfully thats only the case on a song here and there. I wouldn't say this album tops their last album, but it is still definitely one of the best metal albums of the year. Long story short, if you like Converge and any of their past albums, you'll like this album too.

Brutal as a good thing
Rhythmic, melodic, heavy, harsh, magnetic, grinding and grooving. Not my fave genre, but definitely my fave band innit. And a shout-out to CB for being a cool guy and re his cool Brutalist pedal.
