can you buy replacement LEDS for this light

No I'm afraid not, those are custom built LED arrays, not something you can buy as a single part. They are rated for 10,000 hours of use, which means for normal applications of a few hours a week or even every day they would probably last in excess of 10 years or more. If you did have some go out you can send the light back to us and we'll replace them for a reasonable price depending on just what the problem is. That's why people are so excited about LED's, they're cheap to operate and they last a long, long time.

what is the length of the wire?

The cord on my light is 7 feet long. You will need a suitable extension cord for most uses unless you position this close to an electrical outlet. Amazing light, by the way and we find new uses for it all the time. Great purchase.

How blinding is this light when you look at it? Does the diffuser help?

The surface of the shell is frosted, so the light is diffused. It is very bright however. It is not bright to the point you will see spots though, such as when you would look at a single clear bright light bulb. Keep in mind it is 20,000 lumens. Hope this helps.
