The natural oil responsible for the buzzing tingle is from the Zanthoxylum americanum shrub, the common prickly ash. A cousin to sichuan pepper, and both are in the citrus family! (Yep, Szechuan is technically a citrus. Teeny-tiny little dried-out citrus with ANGER ISSUES lol). The buzzing tingle on the lips feels very similar to Szechuan pepper, - I've never had it on my lips before, for very long; it's pleasant, buzzing, and slightly numbing! I was skeptical of the wording, but now that I've tried it... I do like the word 'buzzing' as a description, rather than simply 'tingling'. 'Tingling' doesn't quite cover it! At first you do "freak out" like they advertise, because it's such a novel feeling! But... then you reach for it, again and again. When I get some on my tongue, it doesn't really do as much as it does on my lips, and it doesn't feel "spicy" in exactly the same way as Szechuan. TRY IT this stuff is so weird and so cool! Tomorrow I get my bubblegum flavor one, I can't wait! PS there is nothing in my botany experience that would suggest this stuff isn't safe. It's been used for thousands of years to treat toothaches and stuff. But, people can be allergic to literally anything. If you do well with Szechuan, you'll be fine.

It's not marketed as a lip plumper, but the ingredients and the way this product works irritates the lips enough to plump them up significantly. Not for the faint of heart or those with sensitive skin. I used to buy these at Walgreens and Walmart, so I'm glad I can still get them here on Amazon. Coco Loco Mint is a confusing name because I was expecting coconut, but it's actually a chocolate mint flavor. Much better than a coconut mint flavor... I've also owned the bubblegum, cinnamon, and tinted versions. Bubblegum and Coco Loco are my favorites. The tinted ones weren't bad, but I wished they came in deeper colors. If you're vintage enough to remember DuWop's Lip Venom, this stuff kinda reminds me of those, but in solid form.

I have a terrible habit, constantly biting my lips. It’s subconscious I often don’t even know I’m doing it. For this reason I never wear lipstick. My lips are often dry because of this habit, making Chapstick necessary to carry on me. However, I usually end up messing it off by accident while biting my lips. So my sister suggested this brand and boy do I love it. It creates a sensation on your lips that feels like they’re buzzing or vibrating, tingling, even. Because of that, I don’t bite my lips when I’m using it , the sensation less quite a while, and the moisturizing is very effective.. think this is the only brand I’ll buy from now on. Seriously it’s fun as hell to use.

This is very entertaining. Love putting in on and then popping my lips afterwards. Keeps my ADHD entertained for about 30-45 mins lol

I'm not sure if it was the "flavor" that I chose or if this is just not a product for me ...but it was like putting spicy potpourri on my mouth. The formula goes on smooth but feels heavy and sticky to me. The first time I ever tried the balm on my lips--it burned like prickly fire and I thought it would never stop itching and burning. The second time I put it on, no burn or prickle feeling at all. I think if your lips are very dry and you put this on...you'll get the first reaction, as I did. I still am using it bc I spent way too much money for this product. I don't see any difference in plumpness or fullness and it tingles or burns randomly. I wouldn't try again. Cool marketing, though. Caught me on that.

I love how moisturizing this lip balm is and I enjoy the buzzing effect as well, it’s one of my favorite lip balms by far.

Beware, does not come in the attractive packaging shown in description. Comes loose in a black baggie. The cute packaging made it something I wanted to include in a goft basket. A loose lip balm was not what I wanted or expected!

This is my favorite lip balm!! I am so glad it was back in stock for quick delivery just in time when my last one ran out :) The buzzing feeling is kind of fun, and I love the cherry flavor. My local shops no longer carry it. Thank you, Amazon, for having the connection to this vendor!

I admit it was the fabulous packaging that made me spend so much on yet more Natural lip-balms! (Ordered in UK) *Gives a sensation of your lips being against a mild electrical current; Bzzzz vibration. Took awhile to work on my aged adult lips but once it starts; OOF. & kind've bizarrely addictive. *Vivid tint, you only need a slick to give a bright colouring, 'Brazen Berry' description is apt. (My kids love the buzz effect & daub it on if they get chance; it's also available in non-tint - obviously better for kids, tho' they reckon my tinted version is much buzzier than their clear 1s) *I love that it's 100% natural; Lip products do get inadvertently consumed so always best to opt for non-toxic! ☠️ Personally I think I prefer the gentler minty buzz of my 'Burt's Bees Original', plus that's currently 3x cheaper in UK..

It smells nice but it definitely doesn't vibrate you lips, it's tingly like a lip plump but doesnt do what it says on the tin.

Really does make your lips buzz, feels great, leaves lips feeling smooth.
