One slice stretched wire completely out.

Most cheese slicers I've seen in person have an adjustment feature to select the slice thickness. This one doesn't.I wanted to slice up a block of cheddar to use for sandwiches and burgers. It produces a slice more than double the thickness of a thick pre-wrapped slice. Because of the thickness, a fair amount of pressure needs to be used to actually cut the slice and this bends and distorts the wire. It also doesn't cut right down to the bottom of the block, breaking off the last bit of cheese unevenly. No extra wires are provided and, in fact, it doesn't even seem to be replaceable.The one positive note is that the handle is very comfortable for people with arthritis.

Only diff between this cutter and the regular Norpro is the handle. Still useless for cutting cheeses. Wire cutter will not hold tension when cutting cheddar. Wire never remains taught. Had a Westmark Rollschnitt cheese cutter that worked perfectly for 35 years. The wire finally broke. Sadly, this cutter only available in UK, and Australia.
