I bought a pre owned piece. Was very doubtful as I got it for $280. I must say it looks brand new, entire box was as is with the packaging, manual, cables, etc. Value for every dollar spent. Top notch Dolby atmos sound quality. It was just plug and activate easy to install, if you are connecting to a Roku make sure to watch some YT videos for help. No comments about the Sony build quality 🔥 Great function too.. no issues overall loving the sound.

I bought this soundbar a few months ago, I was tired of the wired management with my older system (Sony 7.2 Channel Surround System) and thought wireless would be allot cleaner and easy. I also bought the RS5 rear speakers along with this for better sound immersion and coverage. That all being said, it's great I'm really happy with it. Shows, music and movies come in clear and haven't had distortions or connectivity issues. I use my old XBOX ONE as a glorified ROKU or FIRE player and it does the job. The soundbar comes with an HDMI IN and HDMI OUT and it's simple plug and play. If you have multiple things you plan on using then a HDMI switch would be a good investment. The 5000 is a big, long boy and has a little weight to it and I didn't want to use the wall mount/shelf holders that came with. I bought the "GOFLAME 48” Narrow Console Table, Modern Entryway Table with Faux Marble Tabletop & Black Metal Frame, Slim Accent" for it to sit on, and it's a perfect size in my opinion. As far as sound customization, it's very simple and customization is limited but seeing as the system well meets my needs and expectations I can't complain. Overall, it's a good product, and I highly suggest this Soundbar along the RS5 speakers too. Good Buy

This sounds really nice for action movies…. That’s it. If it’s mainly dialogue like a documentary or reg tv, it’s not great. Worse than that, if it’s paired with your Sony TV and or PS5, your forced to power the sound bar on then back off every time you change apps such as prime to Netflix or YouTube unless you want to listen to the terrible soundbar dialogue sound. In other words, change from prime, to YouTube with the sound bar powered off, you lose all sound until you power the soundbar on then back off to get your tv speakers working again. Crap design. As a fix for the time being, I unplug the soundbar power so it’s not connected at all. then if I want to watch and action movie, I have to plug it in and re sync it. All of this has made me understand that I will never buy another Sony TV or soundbar.

Very pleased with this Sony product. Movies on Netflix or BlueRay sound excellent. As well the built in Chromecast allows me to stream my favorite Internet radio broadcasts directly to the soundbar. The surround sound is at a minimum, but I have the possibility to add rear speakers and a subwoofer if I choose. The Soundbar arrived in perfect condition purchased at a highly discounted price.

Unit works quite well. The write up of the product leads one to believe the surround speakers were included. Also, I paid $125 for coordinated delivery, set up, test, & carry off of empty cartons. I found one package in my garage, a day later, I had to drive 2 mi to receive the other part of the delivery & did my own uncrate, set up, test, & disposal of cartons. Don't let them fool you into buying that option oy response to date has been shrugs & silence

I bought a Sony 65" TV a few months back for our vacation house and hadn't really decided whether I would add a Sound Bar. Truthfully, not being up on the latest gadgets, I wasn't even aware such a device existed. But visiting friends who had a full-blown home theater ( replete with Sound Bar, subwoofer, and rear speakers ) was a decisive factor in my purchase. The sound was just incredible, like nothing I had experienced outside of an actual movie theater. I went with the Sony HT A5000 ( after reading reviews ) to match the Sony TV previously mentioned. I also added Sony subwoofer and rear speakers. The player, also Sony brand ( Sony X700 ) and the sturdy metal bracket necessary to properly hang the TV, were the final components necessary to complete the installation. My brother and I tested the audio by cueing up Led Zeppelin's epic 'Achilles Last Stand' and dialing in our preferences. Later we watched 'Dune' and were able to test the audio again. In both cases, absolutely amazing clarity and depth of sound; the volume can be set ridiculously high without distortion setting in ( you can quite literally be 'blown away' ). So, for either film or music, you are really in for a treat by adding this Sound Bar as one vital component of a fully realized home theater system. Highest recommendation.

The sound is GREAT. When it works right. An annoying popping sound begins to play at random, at least a few times a week. The fix is to turn off/on the 360 audio and the popping would go away. I had to keep the remote nearby, so I could push the button when the popping would eventually happen. I understand it is caused by interference from my WiFi router in the same room. I can't move the router, so the Sony HT-A5000 and SW5 sub had to go back to Amazon. I traded for the Samsung Q990C renewed (2023) which can be picked up on Amazon for well under $900 and the Samsung Q990C includes the rear upfiring speakers.

While it’s a bigger sound bar, the sound is great! I paired with the Sony subwoofer at while the sound bar has good bass built in, the added subwoofer really adds the extra punch. The item is rather pricey as is the subwoofer, but it does what it needs to do.

Muy buena barra de sonido, si la configuras manualmente y ajustas los niveles de audio, obtendrás un sonido nítido sin compresión. Eso sí, un sub hace mucha diferencia. También si lo combinas con una TV sony, pues tendrás algunas ventajas. Sin duda SONY sabe cómo producir y manejar audio 👌

This soundbar HT-A5000 can create magic. However, the accurate calibration is required with respect to the distance of the soundbar from the seating position. However, Soundstage is unique, throuput is excellent 👌 and surround effects unmatched. Customer satisfaction can not be expected from Sony since in the grass-route levels they are lacking knowledge on Dolby Atmos functionaries including the options for DTS NEURAL X or DOLBY SPEAKER VIRTUALIZER and I do not find any problem with this.This is not any issue though however my query remains unanswered and as per assurance given by the local customer care that they will make me contacted with the technically sound person from Level 1 city and response is still awaited till date. I do realise and can conclude that Sony is so big brand that small queries from the small cities remain un-answered. Thanks Sony for your great product ....... without...... Amazon delivered from Seller Clicktech Retail Private Ltd. , which supplied the item from very old stock(Feb. 2024) . However, the item is new and packaging proves the ageing!!

It's big, really big. It doesn't fit under the TV, you have to place it in front of the TV. You can see the difference with my other sound bar that I use as a shelf for the compact disk player. That aside, the sound is wonderful and complete, and it's covering the hole room. I love that soundbar, maybe a bit expensive.

For long long time I have been searching a sony sound bar cause I have Sony Bravia X90H. My first preference was HT A7000. But that was priced much higher. Though the new line up BRAVIA BAR 8 and 9 definitely have better soounds but again they cost much. At 45677/- with cashback I think this is the lowest price of its life price history. I got it at the price of A3000. For sound quality it's good. For music it lacks some delicate precision but apart from this it perfectly works fine with sony tvs. Looking to add SW5 subwoofer and best rear speaker RS 5 when I get a good deal. Easy to install and easy to use. The sound is very soothing to ear and bass is very sweet. And given the price what more can you ask? It's engineered by SONY and that's need no further reviews. Loving it. Spoiler alert: Go for HT A7000 at Rs 71000/- instead of Bar 8 or 9. Just wait and grab the deal. It was my dream deal but I couldn't grab. Check very first hours on Amazon Great Indian Sale for that price.
