It is made of heavy woven plastic and was uncomfortable for the patient. I bought it with the hope that it could be left under a dementia patient in a nursing home so that frequent turning would be easier for caregivers and less painful for the patient. The caregivers removed it after the first use. It is sturdy.

Mom didn't like staying on it because of the side stitching bothered her and it's plastic so you get hot .But works just like it should.
