Learn dbatools in a Month of Lunches: Automating SQL server tasks with PowerShell commands

This book is a great reference to get started using dbatools and powershell. There are so many tips and how to's to assist in daily activities of a SQL DBA. It has also helped in automating processes to support SQL SERVER environments including Always On availability groups which saves me time and sql server uptime. Patching SQL SERVER software, checking SQL SERVER services, Migrating SQL SERVER databases are quick and easy using this book as a guide. I continue to use it regularly in my job.

If you want to know the "ins and outs" of DBATools you need this. I can't imagine being a modern day DBA and not have this resource to help me become proficient in DBA tools. Day-to-Day tasks just like setting up log-shipping, configure AGs, upgrades, installs, migrations or fixing dreaded SPN errors can all be done by only a few lines of code with DBATools and this book will walk you through that.

dbaTools has been a great help to me as a DBA. There are PowerShell commands that simplify my day to day work.The book is excellent and contains many examples. I use a digital version of the book as a reference so I can easily search.A side effect of the book is that my PowerShell-Fu has increased as well.If you are a DBA or want to play one on TV then get this book.

Dbatools is the reason I am more in to powershell and helps me for my day to day work and also gives me alot of knowledge in terms of automation and anyone working on database DBAtools book is a lust have reference book

This is an excellent resource. Any DBA should have this on their shelf as a time saver and / or project saver. dbatools is truly a "DBA tool made easy" and this book gives you the insights into both PowerShell and dbatools that any DBA and/or DEV will find invaluable. It is worth every single cent. 10/10 recommend so that I've bought the book in both digital and printed version.
