My wife loves these for skewering food. But she recommends soaking them for 5 minutes prior to usage.

Sharp points probably ly good for sticking I to stuff. Not why we got them though. I have a nonstick takoyaki pan and these little bamboo shower work great turning the balls without scratching the pan.
