Our washing machine was acting up and I was so sad because I thought we were going to have to junk it. A few YouTube videos later and we figure out that if replace this part. Just a warning: this is a giant pain in the tookus to replace--you have to take everything apart to get to it and then snapping everything else back in place isn't the easiest thing either, but none of that is the fault of this part, which fit beautifully. I am delighted that I can continue using my old washer because I like it so much better than the other one we have which is a fancy-dancy front loader. Top loaders with agitators are the best!

Fit perfect on my 30 year old Kenmore heavy duty series70

The picture on the first one I bought showed the clips reinforced with metal on the inner ring of the white plastic. After 2 years it broke. When I pulled it out, I realized it failed because the part I was sent didn't actually have metal reinforcing it. Without metal strengthening the plastic the clips just wear out quickly. The new ones they sent have the metal brackets so it should last many, many years. Tip: if you have only 1 clip that's cracked, save the other good one for next time -- they are interchangeable. Each time mine broke it only split one of the 2 triangle pieces. Now I have an extra one for my 25 year old excellent washer. Tip: there are several videos online if you want to do it yourself. But find the video where you prop up the washer and do everything from underneath. It took me maybe 30 minutes max but I'm pretty handy and have tools and go slowly. (2 years ago when I had to fix it I followed a video that had me take off the inside of the washer -- completely unnecessary and time consuming.) The guy in the video did his in like 10 minutes.

Fit perfect and it was easy to install.

Unplug power plug, disconnect hot and cold water supply lines (make sure water supply valves are off and have a rag to catch any water), disconnect drain line (also have rags available), pull washer out, tilt washer on back (I placed a piece of wood to prevent damage to cord or connections on the back), water will drain from the pump so have rags available, disconnect wires from motor, remove two bolts holding metal clamps to the motor, remove clamps, slide motor out, remove coupler from gear box and motor (may need to use a screwdriver to pry off), tap the new white pieces on (I used a brass drift to tap the white pieces so they are flush with the shaft), place the black piece on the white piece, align the motor and slide back on to the gear box, work backwards to finish the installation. Took about 1/2 hour...another 1/2 hour to clean up and put the tools away. Works perfectly.
