Wide brim hat works great for sun protection
Hat looks high quality, and fits great. Highly recommend for sun protection. Love that it it has a wide brim too, my ears get burnt if I’m wearing just a regular baseball hat to the beach. I look forward to using this on my trip to Brazil.

Great Hat for Hiking, Hanging Out
I'm not a hat person in general, because I hate wearing hats! Nevertheless, I ordered this one because our planet is heating up and I live in a location that gets hotter than the hubs of hell in spring, summer, and fall. The sun here is so intense it seems to shine through cinderblock! I mean, this place is hotter than Brooke Shields was in that Blue Lagoon movie! And boy did that film lead to some serious fantasy and self-abuse sessions during my hormone-fueled adolescent years. But I digress... In short, I didn't want to end up like a beloved friend of mine who was taunted to the end of his days by insensitive louts who derisively referred to him in public and private settings as Mr. Melanoma Neck. His last months were sad, pock-marked, and painful after having been whittled on for years by dermatologists seeking to exorcise him from the Cancer Demons, so I thought it prudent to outfit myself with some thermonuclear protection in the form of a wide-brimmed hat. I'll be upfront with the fact that I sweat like a hog in the livestock reception area of a Smithfield plant. When I put on a hat, it becomes drenched in seconds if I'm doing the least bit of movement. Not only that, but my sweat seems to have the strange property of bleaching or discoloring light-colored fabrics, probably due to an endocrine system that is way out of whack, or maybe due to some weird gypsy curse. Most of my hats take on the look of chromatic paper that has been dipped in raw sewage, or bleached in a vat of white vinegar during the Midsømmer rites. But not so with this hat! This glorious sun bonnet has endured punishing conditions after resting atop my sweaty melon and protecting my bare neck for nearly four years now. it has retained its color and shape throughout! Not only does it adjust to fit just right whether the weather is calm or windy, but it's cool enough to be worn at midday on the summer solstice in my own little sunny corner of Hell. The netting is fine enough to keep out the flesh-eating gnats, but breezy enough to usher out the stink and moisture that I produce as a result of my unfortunate metabolism. And it looks good enough on me that the bouncers don't turn me away when I come seeking refreshment at the local watering hole. There are lots of horrible hats out there to choose from, but this is definitely not one of them. With a kind price point and a selection of colors to satisfy nearly any fashionista, why would you literally risk your neck by not buying one? Good blessings and safe travels to one and all.

Best wide brim hat I've tried so far - and I've tried a lot
I 've been buying a lot of wide brim hats for sun protection. This is my 6th brand and this one is my favorite so far. I have a large head (size 7 3/4) and it fits comfortably. It has an elastic cord to tighten the hat if you need it so it should fit a lot of head sizes. The brim is stiffer than some I've tried, which I like. Some brims are too floppy and get wavy. This one seems like it will keep its shape longer. The cord that tightens under your chin is sewn into the hat so it's not removable unless you cut it off. I like that it's attached. Some hats have the chin cord attached with those little plastic buckle clips and they can break easily. The description said the brim would be 3.9". The one I got has a brim that is 3.75". A little smaller than advertised but not much. It's still a good brim and offers more sun protection than the hats with 3" brims. Most of the hats I've bought were shipped folded up to where they had 4 creases in the brim when you unpacked them. This hat was only folded once so it has only 2 creases in the brim. That's a good thing. This hat does have air holes in the crown for ventilation so keep that in mind if you are wearing it for sun protection. I would guess a little more sun can get through than a hat with no vent holes. This hat seems to have more color choices than most hats. I will try several more colors to see if the quality is the same from one hat to the next. I would recommend this hat if you are looking for sun protection and a good value.

Good buy
This is my garden hat. It keeps the sun Off me and when it rains it rolls off in front. I highly recommend even for those of us with larger heads. It fits very comfortable as well

Not very practical—looking up makes it fall off, and visibility is limited.
“Fantastic quality and a vibrant red color! It looks great, but it’s a bit snug—looking up can make it touch the back of your head and fall off. Visibility is also limited, so keep that in mind. Overall, a stylish and well-made hat.”

EINSKEY WIDE BRIM SUN HAT
Purchased this for fishing trips in the Arizona heat. This hat fits me great, keeps the sun off of my face and neck. If you pour some cold water in the head space and put it on, it cools you even better. Love it!

Back rim touches backpack
It’s good when I’m wearing it without backpack on my back. It should be ok if it’s just a small daypack. Back of the hat touches larger backpack and it was quite annoying. A decent hat if it’s just for yard work n such but not for hiking with a larger pack.

Love the sunhat. I thought the price to pay for sun protection is to look dorky, but this hat lifts the look to be more appealing. And of course, it provides more than adequate shade for the face and back of the neck, is lightweight and comfortably cool to wear, not to mention good value for the price. Suits all head sizes I believe as it is quite large for me but allows for fit adjustments. Highly recommended!

This hat has an impressive brim that keeps the sun well and truly off your face and head. It isn't as breathable as I would like and is prone to getting drenched with sweat. I would call it water resistant, it doesn't do a great job at surviving a rain shower for longer than around 10-15mins, after which it will get soaked and begin to seep through onto your head and drip on your face. I really LOVE this hat for my walks outside on sunny days, its does what I need it to do - keep me cool in the hot sun! The adjustable straps are a great feature, being able to adjust to your sized head, preventing it from flying away on windy days. In conjunction with my poncho, they both keep me dry (except for the seat build up!) when its raining outside. I recommend it for gardening, working outside, and walking outdoors in sunny weather :-)
