This lid fits tightly and does not leak. It maintains a good seal. I have several hydroflasks and this fits them just like the originals. I prefer this type of lid for cold drinks and the slide type for hot drinks, so this lid gives me the choice.

Fits a bit tighter than the lid that came with the Hydroflask, but works fine.

This lid fits so well, if you tip your cup over — or say accidentally huck it across your living room when trying to bring in all the groceries in one trip, or knock it entirely off your nightstand in the middle of the night when flapping around for your phone — you will have no to very limited spillage. This is more lid than I deserve; and for it I am forever grateful.
