Performix ReRack Dishwasher Rack Repair Coating (125ml) - White

My dishwasher baskets had become rusty and to replace just one would cost £85, so I saw a video of someone using this product in conjunction with a rust remover/ sealer (also available on Amazon) so thought I would give it a go. It has worked really well and although my baskets are grey and this is white I hardly notice it there. I have to say it is really thick and the brush in the container is awful to use so I used an old paintbrush which worked much better but be aware it will ruin any paintbrush you use so make sure it’s not one you want to keep. You need so little of this product that I think I have enough product left to fix every basket in the UK. Quick update it has been nearly 2 years since I used this product and it’s only now that I feel it needs to be reapplied. So definitely worth its money Not sure how well it would work without the rust remover ( I used Kurust) so would recommend buying both.

Easy to use, dried quickly, easy to layer, treated good barrier, pleased with result. Shame not in grey as most dishwasher racks are grey!

Easy to use and great customer support, this product saved me having to replace either the dishwasher or dishwasher racks which are expensive. First you will need to fully empty and thoroughly clean your dishwasher, then sand down all the rust spots and clean the areas with rubbing alcohol, I then applied both the Performix ReRack Dishwasher Rack Repair Coating and also the Dishwasher rack replacement tips which are both available in while or grey), ensure to allow the vinyl to completely dry which takes 24 hours before placing anything back in the dishwasher. If another coat of the vinyl is required ensure you wait 30 mins in between coats. You can also view step by step instructions in YouTube.

Didn’t rate it. Not easy to apply and poor coverage. Expensive as well at £20 for a small pot. Wouldn’t buy again

This worked well covering up the rust on our dishwasher rack. Needed a few coats so patience is required

Wonderful stuff, worked very well on the dishwasher racks. Instructions said to clean surfaces with rubbing alcohol before applying. Surgical Spirit is what I used and it worked

Bits very easy to repair the rack. Make sure to wear a mask to a kid the paint like smell.

It worked well initially. But did not last more than 2 months, when the rust re-appeared at multiple locations. Perhaps if you have only one place to mend and is happy to re-do it regularly, then it makes sense. But in my case, there were multiple places to be fixed and all of them got rust through now.
