Good action camera without GoPro pricing
I picked this over a GoPro mainly because it was cheaper, the specs were similar, and it came with a variety of mounts and adapters in the box. That’s helpful if you don’t want to start buying extras just to use it. It even included a flotation handle, which we tested in the bathtub first before taking it in the water. We bought it for swimming in the Gulf of Thailand and for filming while walking around on our trip. The waterproof case didn’t leak, even after jumping off boats to see the sea life. We added a backpack mount when we walked the Golden Bridge in Da Nang so we could film hands‑free. Watching the footage later made it worth doing, being hands‑free meant I could actually look around instead of staring at a screen. The camera itself is simple to use. A few physical buttons and a responsive rear touchscreen make it easy to change settings. The front screen helps if you’re filming yourself. Video in 4K looks clear for a camera in this price range. The seller reached out after purchase and offered extra attachments for completing a survey. It was a nice follow‑up and showed they’re paying attention. If you want to try an action camera without going straight to spending GoPro money, this is a solid starting point. It handled everything we threw at it on the trip.

Good cam, but little quirky for PRO
I finally got this and tested it out to compare against my Brave 4 and Brave 7 that I already have. As a Pro edition, I was bummed in the interface and strange functions. The B4 Pro had an older firmware than my regular B4, which I thought was odd. Here are some things about the Brave 4 Pro. Note, I am a hiker and using it for such purposes. Overall a really good starter and feature packed starter camera. I probably just got an old stock. If you got one, contact akasa support to remedy Pros: - 20MP picture and 4k recordings are nice like my Brave 7. - Large front facing screen. - Easy remove frame/cage/holder (same as B4). - Touch screen. - Akaso always provide generous amounts of attachment accessories. A+ Quirks - nit picks. Lol - Battery cover is NOT attached to the body (not hinged). - If you remove the battery, even for second, the datetime resets to factory time to 1-1-2019. - Zoom feature only works in time lapse or burst modes. Does not work in regular photo or video mode. - The front and back screens are plastic, not glass. - When in screen saver mode, there is a lock slide you must do to see the display. Every time. Similar to cell phones. Unable to disable. -USB port is MICRO USB for charging and data transferring. Not USB-C found on B4, B7, and other Brave cams. Sadly, I have decided to return this. Since I got this purely for the EIS 2.0 and larger front screen that my B4 lacked. But my B7 is still my main go to. In summary, I suspect i got an old new stock and should be resolved in the new inventory. Get this and try it. ‐------ Btw, Akaso support is fantastic. Best I've worked with. Any issues you have they are prompt to address to make things right. They helped me on some things with my other Brave 7 camera. Very happy. 5 star support.

A quality action camera featuring video and still shots
This is my second Akaso Brave 4 camera. The first one lasted 5 years and successfully went on more than a dozen scuba diving trips around the world. Took it down to as much as 100 feet without any problem (inside the waterproof housing). The first one finally stopped working this last fall. I got the new Akaso Brave 4 Pro as a replacement and it arrived early this year. It has several new features including an underwater mode to help with the loss of color when diving, a set of four digital magnifications (field of view settings, like zoom) and image stabilization. It has already gone to Antarctica and where I used it to shoot video of wildlife (penguins) and underwater (with housing) at a shipwreck. It is working fine so far. The controls have been updated and become even simpler due to the forward facing second display that removes one of the legacy Brave 4 buttons. I really like this camera which is why I bought a second one. And did I mention that I believe it is economical compared to other cameras with similar features. So why only 4 stars overall? You need to change or recharge the battery after each use - expected and simple (I carry multiple batteries so that I do not have to wait for recharging). But each time you remove and reinstall the battery, the date/time resets to factory and you have to go into the settings and change it back to the current date/time. If they would resolve this one annoyance, then it would get a full 5 stars overall from me.

💡 Lights 🎥 camera 🎬 action
Amazing camera battery life is OK it will get the job done whatever your purpose for it is it can get it done. Could there be better ones out there maybe but for the price of this one I would say it’s perfect. camera qualities is good. Good value for your money. And it comes with a bunch of accessories that could become useful depending on your intended purpose for it.

Small, light weight, good video quality. Good and cheaper alternative to GoPro.

Wow! Tiny but amazing!
My dog and I walk in the woods every day and I have been frustrated with trying to take pictures with my phone. I've wanted a gopro kind of video camera for ages but they are so expensive. Then I stumbled upon this little gem and had to try it out. Trying to take pictures while my dog wants to go inspect things at the other end of the leash has meant I haven't even bothered trying to take pictures of anything. I'm really happy with it! It was easy to get started, to get the memory card formatted, etc. I can't believe how tiny it is. But it seems pretty capable for what it is. I like the image stabilization, and I'm glad I got the pro version so I can have an external mic. The built in one picks up mainly me fiddling with the camera, lol, but that might be a setting that I haven't gotten to. I haven't tried the remote control you wear on your wrist. And I like that if it's recording video, after a set time it will stop the video and automatically start a new recording, so they aren't too long. It came with 2 rechargeable batteries which is really nice. So basically, it's affordably priced, comes with straps and a waterproof case and 2 batteries, and even more stuff, is really easy to use, and seems to do a decent job. It has image stabilization, which is better than my phone. The app is not that great. It crashes a lot but I don't really need it since it has a touch screen on the back. Overall, I'm thrilled that I found this teeny action camera!

2nd AKASO purchase that leaked! Don’t trust the housing!
Not waterproof yet again! Don’t waste your money if you’re intending this to be used underwater. Camera is great and takes good photos but this was specifically bought for underwater photos. This is the second purchase in 3 months I made with AKASO bc the first camera housing leaked. I figured it was affordable enough to just buy another one. The first one was leaking around the buttons so clearly defective not user error around the clasps. First camera-the v50 pro housing leaked on first use in 5 ft of water but didn’t leak in my pool when I tested it) but was outside of the 30 day window it was like 45 days) so couldn’t return. Customer service is very difficult to get in touch with after several attempts, bought this one as a replacement bc it was easier than dealing with customer service. This brave Camera is a week old, worked great first day, leaked on second dive at just 5 ft when it’s supposedly ok to 100 ft. I was incredibly vigilant to make sure the housing was on correct, locked and ok. Thank goodness I caught it immediately and surfaced to remove the camera and it was salvaged but now can’t use it for scuba which is the intention! Now I am over 220$ in AKASO cameras, don’t waste the money and just go with a GOPro even the 8 is waterproof at 33 ft!!!

Good Value
Great option if looking for a Go Pro type camera but better value. Comes with accessories. Works with the app so you can get your videos easily.
