I recently purchased the kudzu root and l-glutamine (from another company) to help me curb my nightly need for a glass of wine. All I can say is WOW! After taking them together in a glass of water I had so much energy and my mood was amazing. I felt better than I have in years! I felt so positive, uplifted, just all around amazing. I'm tempted to use the word euphoric. I felt that great, like a natural version of anti-depressant/anti-anxiety medication. Which is great because I struggle with both. I generally have two glasses of wine before bed. The first night of taking this I finished one glass and didn't even want another. So my plan is to take the mixture of the kudzu and the l-glutamine twice a day. I'm seeing very positive results. My husband is trying to quit smoking, and he has far less cravings when he takes this. He also says he feels more patient, and able to handle stress. it's amazing stuff. My only complaint is that the kudzu tastes pretty gross. But it's 100% worth it. I just drink it and then brush my teeth afterwards. Also, it clumps up if you try to mix it in cold to room temperature water, so I use my tea kettle and mix it with hot water. It works great.

I'm giving 4 stars, because I haven't capsulated the powder yet. However, it seems like an amazing price since Bulksupplements provide the product in bulk to the consumer who pays a fraction of the cost when bought in capsules. Kudzu has been used in Chinese medicinal herbal treatment for women going through peri menopausal with symptoms of hot flashes. It decreases the heat that cumulates as women go through hormonal changes. It is also good for cleansing the liver and is known to help reduce muscle aches. Kudzu is also used in cooking. The shipping was expedient, and the product well wrapped.

So, I tried my friend's Kudzu at work and immediately didn't have sugar cravings. Purchased it on here and been taking it twice a day. One day I forgot my Kudzu and I had bad sugar cravings when I got home. I had a little bit of sugar but then took some kudzu and it immediately got rid of my sugar cravings. You have to understand, when someone bought doughnuts in, I couldn't and wouldn't say no. In turn, my sugar cravings got worse. On good days, when doughnuts weren't present, I would do good til I got home. Then, I would have insatiable sugar cravings and over indulge. Kudzu is supposed to help inflammation but I am not sure yet on this. Incidentally, I can say no to doughnuts and don't insatiable sugar cravings in the afternoon anymore. Love this stuff.

It works! I dissolved a teaspoon as "tea" with honey, and it was strong. I could only drink half a cup, and I feel my blood pressure dropping and much calmer. The taste is acquired, but I always feel better when I deal with the raw product rather than pills.

I started using Kudzu over twenty years ago thanks to two Doctors of Oriental Medicine in Santa Fe New Mexico. But every time I have purchased it, is was the WHITE powder. Until I made this purchase I had never seen a dark powder that will not thicken any liquid, which is how I have always used Kudzu. I wrote the company about their failing to picture or describe what they were selling of Kudzu different from what I had used for so long. Any immune concern or upset stomach is quickly reduced with the Kudzu I have used many times. The company did not respond to me. I hope this information helps others. Bulk supplements apparently has no budget for customers service.

Both smell and taste were bad. It reminded old wet cigarette butts. I do not know why. Normally it tastes great. I experienced identical issue with the same product from "Samsara" but I got a good replacement. Bulksupplements gave me a replacement but it was bad, either. So I asked refund. I use it with other extracts as "morning coffee". It is a good supplement and I really appreciate if you have it fixed Please contact your vendor and try to work it out and ... let me know about it. I will place my order right away.

I have never taken Kudzu before but I chose it to help with inflammation and to hopefully quell the need for a second (or third!) alcoholic drink when I do imbibe. This must be pure and potent because the smell, taste and color are very distinct, almost tobacco-ish. In a strange way it actually reminds my senses of being in NC where the vine is so prevalent. I really like that it dissolves in water and I can just chug it down, because it would definitely change the taste of anything it was added to, like a smoothie.

This kudzu root extract powder is very clumpy. Small parts of it feel like it's freeze-dried, which it shouldn't. It smells pretty potent, which doesn't mean it smells good. But you can't expect herbs to smell or taste ideal all the time. The bitterness is what makes them good for your digestive system. I'm using this powder in my newest headache supplement capsules which include feverfew, riboflavin, white willow, magnesium and butterbur.♡

The label says "Root Extract" but we do not know how strong is the extract and how it was extracted. It is important to know if you do not want to take toxic substances.
