Printer was veery easy to set up using both the website and the CD Rom. The print speed is fast and the automatic 2 sided printing is really convenient.

I am not a tech guy. I only use this printer to print out horse racing cards for the day, so my favorite feature is the printing speed. Something is weird with the collation function. Ever other page prints the opposite way. I’m sure it’s user error. Maybe one day I’ll try to fix it. But great printer and easy to read very small print.

This is a great printer for the price...especially if you are a bit techy. I plugged it in and got an E202 error (and it would NOT print). Looked this up and it had to do with the scanner. I did not get much help from the vender. after having researched it quite a bit, and actually requesting a return (which I did not want to do), I checked out the scanner....one end of the scanning plate's bracket (please see picture) was slightly askew (off)...I suppose that happened in shipping. It was easy to place correctly and voila! It has worked fine ever since! I cancelled the return and am happy with the printer! It was purchased for a location that only prints very rarely and we live in a dry climate. Ink jet printers do not work well for that!

I needed a printed and I did not want to get another inkjet as since I don't use them all of the time the ink heads tended to clog and the whole printer was junk. This time I wanted a nice inexpensive toner-based laser printer this way even if I don't print for 12 months I know that it will print just fine and won't clog up. Black toner only is fine as any color prints I will do at work and toner will be cheaper since I only have to purchase one black cartridge. I had originally picked up an HP monochrome printer from Best Buy but after getting home I noticed that they wanted me to subscribe monthly for lifetime toner! WTF I am sick and tired of all of these subscription-based services bleeding me dry of money month after month. I found this awesome little printer and they don't require monthly money injections.

There was no cartridge and the contents on the box it says should be cartridge.

This was my best printer until lightning struck the building and several computers and TV sets were burned. The printer still worked as a copying machine, but the USB connection did not work, and we could not connect it to our computer. Probably the wireless connection may have been working, we didn't try it. We just bought another one and gave away this one, as a present to someone, to be used as a copier.So, as we said, was my best printer and still is, because we bought a new one and prints on both sides of the page as needed.

I like The quality of my Canon printer only wish it were made in the USATo those that want to use their Android Phone to connect to the MF242dw printer over wifi down load the Canon print business app that will speak to the printer.

Contacted Amazon via phone and the seller, M-X-C Tech via email. Amazon sent email to seller regarding my concern with the printing quality and the start-up cartridge. NEVER received a response from seller regarding my concerns. Contacted Canon directly who verified that the printing was in the quality range. This is not my first laser printer, but I am not satisfied/pleased with this printer, as well as the fact that no response was ever received from the seller.
