They’re really good!
They almost taste like molasses. They don’t melt like normal chocolate which is huge. They’re small little pieces so you can break it off and not have to eat all at once. I actually enjoyed them but my kids didn’t lol

Healthy Treat with a Taste of Childhood
Bought this hematogen for our child because it’s healthy, but of course we had to try it too — it’s the taste of our childhood! It’s nice to see that it still tastes just as good. We’re happy with the purchase — it’s not only a healthy treat for the kid, but also a sweet bit of nostalgia for us.

Love them
I'm anemic and I love these. They're more of a brownie like texture than a chocolate bar, but when your iron is low, these are great. I very much prefer them to other supplements. The taste is like what you might expect from an (American) off-brand, vegan, thick fiber one brownie. It's not full of chocolate and sugars, but I personally really enjoy them.

Get it !
If your kiddo is lacking iron this is a great ‘vitamin’ for them . Tastes delicious which makes it all the more easier to have a child actually take and eat it

Interesting and effective
So a YouTuber did a review of this and she really liked it, so I figured I’d try it. I get anaemic from time to time, but I can’t take pills...I’ve yakked them up since I was a baby...my body just refuses to tolerate them. So I thought why not try these. If you’re ur unaware, black albumin is basically blood from cows normally. It’s stuff our culture throws away but other cultures use it in sausages and soups and stuff(this YTer had a whole vid about all the uses for blood products that seem awesome but we don’t do). Anyways the biggest complaint is how sugary it is. I agree with the YT person that they’re super sugary, like diabetes level sugary. They remind me of that low-budget fudge recipe that’s basically sugar and cocoa powder with boiling water and butter and you stir it for like ever to make it smooth and into fudge...but it’s always kinda grainy and sugary...that’s def like this. You can’t really taste the albumin at all. You just taste sweet, almost tootsie roll, almost fudge...not terrible. The iron is heme iron which is more easily absorbed by the body than the kind of iron in pill form. I had no nausea or vomiting. Serving size is part of a bar for kids, one bar for adults. Each bar has 8 sections to it so you can break it up. I just take one a day in addition to my regular diet. I could see if you had no access to other sources of iron, this would be great...for me it’s a supplement and one bar lasts a while. I stop taking it when I feel my iron levels are ok. Obvs check with your doctor to see what ur actual levels are. I have some concern about mad cow disease from the Ukraine where these are made, but I’m not gonna obsess...just, if that’s something you worry about, you may reconsider these. The disease has been found in gelatin products from abroad but that was a while ago...maybe it’s been handled and nothing to worry about now. If you are diabetic or pre-diabetic I’d also avoid these bc the sugar count is so high. I think even for non-diabetics these are more of an occasional thing rather than everyday. I think this is an interesting product with a fascinating backstory, and came out of necessity. I think they’re still useful today as a semi-holistic way of treating anemia without medication.
