Will this kill and prevent mold from growing on the backside of unfinished drywall and bare unsealed wood?

It doesn't kill the mold, it keeps it from spreading outwardly by encapsulating the spores. Remember mold sends "roots" out into the material. To prevent/kill mold get rid of the moister source and adequately dry the material its on.

How exactly do you use this product? Do you need to cover furniture or other things? How long does it take to dry? How often should you use?

Follow the directions on the label. The basic way is to spray it directly on top of the surface of the mold. It is not sprayed in the air so furniture and other things don't need to be covered. The dry time, if the humidity is normal (low), should be about 5 minutes, max10 minutes as the mold doesn't need to be saturated, just covered. Once all the mold has been covered/sprayed you won't have to use it again, unless the mold has spread to other areas. If this is the case run a dehumidifier to dry out and remove the moisture from material it's growing on and then you can spray the new mold growth.

It says use for fabric. Is this good for painted dry wall too?

Yes, but remember the mold is most likely started on the backside. See my other reply's for additional information. If you just want to hide the stain/mold use a alcohol or shellac based primer then paint. Use in well ventilated area. See other reply's. If you start smelling a musty smell you'll have to dry out the wall cavities and wood framing by removing the bottom 8" or so of the drywall and use a fan to circulate the air in the wall then you can use this product again. Remember you don't want a "sick" unhealthy house.

Appears to do absolutely nothing

I see all the positive reviews here, but for my scenario (mold spots on garden furniture cushions (on the pillow inside the cover) there was no visible change. Perhaps it killed the mold, but zero improvement in appearance.. Also, it stops spraying while there is still 30% of liquid left in the can. What a waste. But then.... it does nothing, so might as well spray water on it. Returned for refund.

Be careful where you spray! I would use this only on surfaces if I were to buy the aerosol can again.. I sprayed the inside of my closet because the access to the attic is in there and I had mold removed from the attic. I used the rest of the can by spraying the air aiming at the ceiling. I also accidentally over-sprayed a cabinet. I couldn’t figure out why the wood floors were so slippery, since we don’t wear shoes in the house, and there was a white residue on a cabinet door. I finally figured out it was the aerosol spray! . I had to wash my floors to get it off.

Don't know if it works good or not, because the can has no air. I only used it few times before storing away for another mold growth. However, the can end up running out of air before liquid (it is still full). Waste of money, if I say so myself. Can't be returned due to it being hazmat. I would recommend reading reviews before buying any aerosol products on amazon (Amazon does not offer return for any hazmat products). If you see reviews with "hard to spray" or "no air", then run away.

This stuff is okay in combination with measures to control humidity. It doesn't fix what caused the mold. It also does not remove mold stains, just fades them.

This stuff doesn’t actually meetup to all the hype some give to this product. And it doesn’t last very long - two bottles needed for what outa be one botttle, I’ve been using a high content bleach product with high efficacy.
