Zippo 121491 Mini MPL Candle Lighter, Brush Chrome

I was looking for a non torch lighter to carry on to flights and like the size and convenience of having a nice flame that is refillable with regular butane. Lights each time and stays lit unless there’s more wind than I like to smoke in.

Works well, make sure you have backup butane as it's a little hard to find in the stores

How is it that there are no stylish lighters in our universe? This is literally the only one, apart from a very gorgeous one from Porsche Designs, which broke way too quickly though. It’s easy to use, hard for the kids though, which is good, and quite easy to refill. Buy the Zippo refill fuel, it works much much better than some of the other, cheaper ones! I have a light blue one, which has been working for almost ten years, and now this lovely silver one- great in a modern, minimalist house.

This lighter worked beautifully for 2 days, then stopped lighting. Tried to refill, and fuel does not appear to be the issue. I can see others have had this same problem. Now there is no way to return or get assistance. I see some are happy with their purchase, but it’s truly a $20 gamble.

Bought two and neither of them lights the first attempt. Sometimes one of the two will light the first try, but more often the one lights the second time and the other may take four to five attempts. Still...they are nice to have about.

I love this lighter. It’s very pretty, so I don’t mind it sitting out on my marble garden tub. I do wish it came with the little stand to sit in like the first one I purchased.

This is a very handsome lighter that I got specifically to light the jar-type candles. I always have a hard time reaching in the jar to light the candle without getting black soot all over the sides, but this lighter works perfectly. I guess my only complaint is that, as a few other reviewers mentioned, it's a little tricky to hold down the safety switch hard enough to get the flame lit. But it's only a little inconvenient, and since it's a safety feature, I can't really complain.

I have another with the adjustable flame control which does not light as well as this new one (same brand, just the next model up.) Have only refilled a few times and don't know if it vapor locks like the other one does. In the one with the control (my old one), it will eventually take on enough air (during refilling) that it doesn't light and its a "process" to release the air and restore proper lighting (be careful, its a freezing expanding gas and also flammable, suggest researching this issue on the net before trying.)
