Bed Frame Footboard Extension Brackets Set Attachment Kit

My bed frame already had holes drilled, so I hand screwed these extenders on and tightened with the included wrench. Super easy! I can now use my vintage headboard and footboard. I paired this with a bolt on to hook on conversion kit, and it worked. It’s not perfect but it gets the job done. It isn’t as stable as I’d like but that’s because I chose not to drill more holes. These extenders come with several holes drilled in so it would be easy to make them stable if you took the time.

These worked well for our application. We had to retro fit a vintage bed frame to a vintage footboard. Sturdy and quality steel.

Needed extensions in order to attach footboard to bed frame. These arrived with plenty of hardware but, and not sure if it is due to the extensions of my bed frame, found that they do not easily fit together. Did some jockeying around and was able to attach the footboard but it isn't a perfect fit. After a month, I've found that footboard remains adequately secured. Should get the job done if you are able to tinkle around a little.

Worked as described

Item worked but with a lot of effort and rigging. Its sturdy but hokes do not line up properly otherwise it would be perfect. They need to make more universal. You can see in video how I made it work. It took half the day to do this & i also had to go back n forth to Home Depot. Also didn't fit footboard had to maje it work. You may have to drill holes.

My goal: Use existing bed frame (full size bed) but needed to add a footboard. Bed frame extenders needed. FYI: Recommend you use a 1/4” cobalt drill bit on low speed to safely drill holes in metal bed frames/rails. Positives: Item came quickly. Bought based on product description claiming to use stronger metal than other brands and good number of reviews suggesting sturdiness. Plenty of holes to aid with installation. Accompanying hardware (bolts, nuts, washers, mini wrench) included with all parts packaged nicely. Negatives: No installation instructions but pretty easy to figure out what would be best for my situation. Once installed, footboard was attached. Moved the bed into place. Wife sat on middle of bed (she’s 5’10” 130lbs) and the rivets where the footboard brackets attach to the bed rail extenders failed on both extenders! See the pics. One pic of each side showing rivet failure. Remaining pic shows my level in relation to the degree of negative camber. Cannot recommend Ironworks brand. Buyer beware YMMV.
