Works Well with Gels to Boil Water
The Trangia gel burner arrived with the lid slightly dented, probably because it was shipped in an unpadded envelope. However, that did not affect the use of the burner dish. I tested it with both Sterno fire starter and One Match fire starter. And I tested it in both the Trangia 25 stove and the Firebox 2G stove. There were some slight differences in times to reach a full boil (of 500 ml water in a Trangia kettle), both between the 2 gels and in the different designs of the stoves. However, I found that the gels performed somewhat better than alcohol burners, reaching a full boil guicker. Residue left by the gels was easy to clean with soap and water.I also tested the dish with the Esbit solid tablets. In combination with the stoves and the dish, the Esbit tablet did better than when I tested the tablet with the typical folding Esbit stove. The bigger stoves provided better wind protection. However, the Esbit tablet left residue that I was unable to get out. So, now I have a permanent brown stain in the dish. This shouldn’t affect the performance of the gel burner.I did not test to see what would happen with gel inside the dish with the lid on. If I wanted to transport gel in the closed burner, I would put it in a plastic bag.

Turns Trangia into Fire Dragon burner.
This did exactly what I wanted. Seemed pricey for what it is, but it worked so well it was worth it in the end.

Adapted to other uses
This can be adapted to several uses besides the one it's designed for.1. As a alcohol burner as it is or with 2 1/4 inch thick Carbon felt pads in the base of it.2. The base can be set in any stove that's designed for a Trangia to securely hold a Evernew titanium burner.3. It makes a nice lightweight storage container for small items in your pack.4. As a small change container. ( it does rattle )5. As a container for fire starter material , Cotton balls coated with Vaseline.******I am sure I will find evermore uses for it. ******

About as simple as it gets
Not much to say. It's a pocket-sized Aluminum container that allows for the use of gel fuels in any stove sized for the original Trangia alcohol burner. Not as flimsy as others have said, but it's not going to survive the apocalypse either. What it WILL do is hold a good amount of fuel gel (in use), weigh next to nothing, take up very little pocket/pack space, and even allow enough room for a min-Bic lighter and a back-up Esbit tab.Sure, it could be priced a little lower for what it is, but then, that applies to just about everything nowadays, doesn't it?

Another good product from Trangia.
There's not much to say. It's a little cup to put gel fuel in to use with my beloved Trangia cookset. I have not used it yet, but see no reason it won't be absolutely perfect for its intended use.I have yet to take my Trangia set camping, but I have used it many a time with power outages, including a three day power outage at the beginning of February. Portland, Oregon accidentally had winter, and this was my main cooking method during that time, along with a JetBoil Fash (which I would fight to the death over). The two stoves are absolute requisites for my disaster preparedness kit.

Works great with Sterno Inferno stove
Works great with Sterno Firestarter gel. Better heat output and fuel utilization than the cans of Sterno “Canned Heat,” due to the bigger opening for flame. This results in better boil times when used in the Sterno Inferno stove (6:30 minutes to full rolling boil of 16 oz water, vs 15 minutes for Sterno can). Almost as good as the performance of the Trangia meths burner (seen on YouTube), but with a safer (and legal during fire season) fuel, and no risk of thermal runaway in a closed stove/windscreen

Fits all Trangia holders
Some may question why pay $14.00 for an aluminum can, but the value of this item is that it expands your fuel capabilities while fitting any holder or pot stand that fits your Trangia alcohol stove. Very durable and the cap is a nice feature that fits well.
