Chantal Covered Dish, Mini Butter, Fade Grey

This half pint butter dish looks like it shrank in the wash! It's the perfect size for those who don't go through a lot of soft butter or don't have a lot of counter space. Good build quality.

I buy packages of half sticks of butter, this butter dish is made specifically for these. It is sturdy, well made, has an easy-grip handle on the cover. Dish has a raised edge so the butter doesn't just slide off when trying to scoop it with a knife. It washes well in soap and water. I keep it on the counter so the butter is soft enough to use. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it. Great for people who use small amounts of butter.

When I ordered this butter dish I didn't realize it was a mini (only holds a 1/2 of a 1/2 stick of butter), so I wound up ordering the larger one & I haven't decided what to do with the smaller one yet. It's very nice though & matches my new kitchen, so I'll figure out some use for it.

This dish (and others made by Chantal) are perfect for the (4 TBsp) half sticks of butter, when you don’t want an entire stick to be at the table. I got the gray color which has an hombre-colored effect (the top is lighter than the bottom tray). However, my dish has an imperfect finish. It has white flecks UNDER the glaze on the tray, which appear to be unpainted. For the cost, it’s just not worth the trouble of returning with the likelihood of the replacement having the same issue. But I wish it had been inspected more closely.
