Excellent quality, clean crimp/cut combo
Use for pass through cable connectors (which are SO much easier to use). I recommend buying the same brand cable ends and you will have a perfect fit every time. Saves me a couple minutes per cable end using the pass through cables.

A little pricy for the quality
This RJ45 crimping tool from Cable Matters is a pretty obvious pick when it comes to crimping tools, but it was a little difficult to use. It's also excessively loud, which is fine for me because it gets the job done.

Makes crimping easy!
Not much to add, quality material and accurate. Took to many onsite jobs and haven’t stopped using it since.

It just works
I bought this initially to change over to pass through connectors as I was having difficulty using regular ones and the crimper for that was awful. It was Nexxt branded. It sucked at stripping the wires and would stick when crimping. This one just works and it works damn good. Clearly thought was put into making sure this gets the job done.

Been using this style for almost 2 decades
Everything works great, 1 star off as it's hard to pull out the RJ11 after crimping.

Perfect crimp tool
This tool works 10x better than the Klein crimper I was using before. 10 out 10 would recommend.

Only buy if you enjoy troubleshooting open conductors
I've been a telecom professional for 25 years and typically don't use feed through RJ45s because I've become so used to terminating standard plugs. However, certain thicker cables require these to get the jacket up through the strain relief, so I ordered one from Cable Matters instead of a name I was unfamiliar with. That turned out to be an expensive mistake! Our team initially tested the crimper to make sure it was good to go and those first few ends tested good, so we proceeded to use this on the 200+ ends needed in a cold storage facility. Well imagine our frustration when we had a failure rate of over 50% in a -5 degree environment, not only did we have to recrimp all the ends but had to suffer the agony of frozen fingers all over again resulting in a vocabulary that was on a whole new level.I purchased another no name crimper (Everest Media Solutions) for the second round and it far outperformed this model. I've attached pics (1st is the Everest Media Solutions, second is Cable Matters) and you can clearly see that the Cable Matters crimper did not do a good job of pushing the pins into the cable, especially the pins in the center.I was so annoyed that I decided to throw the crimper in the trash without requesting a refund and write a review that will hopefully save someone else the frustration we had to endure.

Cheaper tool than the name brand
There are a few cons of buying the knockoff version of this toolCutters for the end of the rj45 jack are not the greatest and the gap for the wires to go through doesn't work very well I had to adjust the cutter and there is not much room for adjustment ,That being said it does the job for a quarter of the price but if I was using it more than a few times a day id buy the name brandTool

im a noob and it worked
never crimped before but was able to on my first try, just make sure it clicks right to the end when you are crimping, you shouldn't have to manually eject the ticker thing

Buona pinza pass through
