Ultimate Summit Sand Beach Umbrella Anchor/Fishing Rod Holder

Good solid construction. Easy to drive into the sand. Use them for surf fishing. Nice product

Used it this past weekend at the beach under good steady winds and this thing didn't budge. We have a Sunbrella which has the skinny poles and this anchor held it much better than the cheaper anchor I previously had (ie. less than $10). The groove/pipe is deeper/longer so it holds the umbrella better. The handle on my previous cheap anchor was thinner and it ultimately cracked off. Handles on this anchor is definitely thicker/stronger and I would be surprised if it ever fails.I'm always worried about injuring somebody when the umbrella goes flying (it basically turns into a flying spear - BIG liability issue - people have been impaled by these umbrellas) but based on 6-7 times I've used this in the past month, I'm extremely impressed by how well it holds up in high wind situations.UPDATE 10/24/2018: What I wrote above is true. Having said that, I've used this for the last 4 months or so and I'm changing my review from 5 to 2 stars. Don't get me wrong, this works really well once you get it into the sand but therein lies the problem. It literally takes me good 10 minutes to screw this thing into the sand and I'm soaked in sweat by the time I'm done. I said to my friend, who was done putting up his umbrella in a minute with his steel anchor (laughing at me mind you), "I think this is the last time with this plastic anchor for me. Need to find something different, this is absolutely killing me... You guys go for a swim without me, I'm sure I'll still be screwing this thing into the ground."

This umbrella anchor is fantastic! It was very easy to dig into the sand, and held our umbrella securely during some windy days we had at the beach. Also did some fishing during our vacation and used the summit anchor to hold our rods sturdy. I recommend purchasing the summit anchor if you plan to head to the beach this summer.

All I can say is "wow!". My previous umbrella anchor had broken, so I was in the market to purchase a new one for an upcoming beach trip. The previous one I spent $29.99 (at a store by the beach), so I was hoping to buy one online and save some money.Found this one by Ultimate Summit, and they seemed to be a reputable company and their anchor had a 5 star rating. For nearly 1/3 the price of my previous umbrella anchor, I was expecting a cheaper product. However, that is definitely not the case! I'm not sure what this thing is made out of, but I don't think I could break it if I tried. Honestly couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I use it to put my pole in the sand for fishing. It works great and good the pole firmly. I bet it would do the same for an umbrella

I liked this umbrella anchor, it's lightweight and it did work in some pretty high wind at the beach, but having used a metal one before I don't think I would buy a plastic one again. The metal ones seems to go in the sand easier and hold a bit better, but if you want something lighter to carry, this would be a good choice.

I purchased this sand anchor and I think it is a great option for those looking for this type of product. I did have a small issue with the first one I purchased, but the Seller (particularly Robert) quickly responded to my problem and replaced the item.It is a good lightweight sand anchor and it holds my Sport-Brella no problem.Thanks again for the great customer service!

Solid, sturdy anchor. Much better quality than my last one. I like the lock mechanism to keep umbrellas and fishing poles in place as well.
