iFootage 11" Magic Arm

I’ve been buying large and small magic arms for quite a while, but these are quite sturdy and compact. It’s not designed to hold up your canon R5, but, since a lot of my footage comes from little GoPro and iPhones, these are perfect for small working areas. A bit pricey, but very sturdy and high-quality construction.

Works great for so many different things! I am currently using it for my octopus style shoulder rig and it is essential for this purpose. It supports my Ronin RS3 Pro perfectly! I have this one along with the larger one. They are on the pricey side, but they are very well built. Incredibly solid!

Ok this thing seems to be quite amazing! I tried this with several heavy loads like a 7" monitor kitted with a wireless receiver and 2 large NP batteries... no movement. Canon R5 with 24-70… no movement. It's one of those items I always bought cheaper versions of and regretted; this I will use!

I didn't expect this kind of build quality and feature set when I ordered this arm, but to say the least I was pleasantly surprised in both areas. This arm holds my 7" monitor attached to my Artcise tripod (AS95C) and when I grab the far end of this arm and move it, the entire tripod, camera and monitor move together as if they were welded together as one unit, very very rigid fit!! The reason for the tripod model number is so you can see that it is big and heavy, its a beast. The functionality incorporated into the unit is well thought out, my hats off to the engineering team. I will definitely continue to buy Ifootage products.

This is a game changer from iFootage. A solid camera mount, or for any other related devices. The Spider Crab can grip onto most anything. Be advised though.... you will need to purchase the clamp separately, it's an iFootage product as well. If you have used a Joby or similar product, throw it away if you buy this...it won't be needed anymore. Check out the cell phone mount as well from iFootage. It will mount to any tripod or the Spider Crab as well.

This system is truly innovative and of great quality, I have bought many adapters for smallrigs and other cheaper brands and I have never used one that will integrate with everything. From my ninja v monitor, to the cage of my cameras, it is excellent, it has an adjustable arri lock system, and it is easy to disarm, in short, I have never felt so motivated to write a review of something as after acquiring this system. If Ifootage see this comment, it would be great to see mirrorless boxes made by your innovative ideas, I'd be the first to buy it, Thanks ifootage!

iFootage products have never disappointed. The build quality and finish are above board. I also have the longer 32" Spider Crab Support Rod and this arm, although not as long or tricked out, seems to be sturdier than its bigger brother. Probably because there are fewer points of failure and articulation to contend with. This thing stays exactly where you put it and holds a kitted-out M50 with no issues. Built like a tank, this thing will last you forever. It should because you pay a premium for it. I did remove the cold shoe adapter and swapped it for a Smallrig clamp (the iF one was not available as a separate purchase yet) as I'm not a fan of stressing out the hot shoe on a camera in the way it's pictured.

Why didn’t I buy it earlier? I need more. It doesn’t slip. It holds weight. Easy to switch between different rigs (especially if you get more of the quick release bases). I use this every day. Mainly for my monitor on camera, but have used it for mics and also for rigging my full camera (kitted with anamorphic lenses and fallow focus) to some #shittyrigs I’ve built

This is a very high quality thing. Beautifully manufactured and very solid. The quick release mechanism is a great piece of design, if it hasn't won any awards yet then it's only a matter of time! Once locked nothing can move unless you want it to.

Really high quality and well designed product which offers lots of potential for creative content making. It allows you to create setups like a camera with an ipad (or other tablet) side-by-side so you can film yourself and use the tablet as a prompter. You could do a dual camera setup (for some reason) or anything else where you have hotmounts. Attaching items is super simple and all connections are very secure. They claim up to 6kg in total capacity and I would believe it given how sturdy it all is. Overall it's a really excellent product which has been very well thought out and clearly produced by people who know what they are doing. Highly recommended

How did I ever live without this magic arm? Yes, I do own a couple of simple inexpensive magic arms, but this one from iFootage takes the cake! It is so versatile (adaptable), efficient (modular), and well-made, that I highly recommend it. Going forward, I will never buy another brand if I need a magic arm. In fact, I have now started to buy other products from iFootage and it seems like everything they make is of superior quality.
