Shhh Portable Soother Sound Machine and Night Light

This little item has been indispensable since our baby was just a few weeks old. Baby had bad colic and saying "shh" over and over helped to calm her. Since I purchased this, it has been used multiple times a day for about 6 months. In that time I've never had to change the batteries. As soon as I turn it on, baby calms down and it helps her fall asleep faster. My only complaint would be that installing the batteries was kind of difficult, but given how long they last it's not that big of a deal. There are three sound modes: "shhh," a heartbeat, and a kind of wave sound. The light on this is a soft white, and it can stay on or blink slowly. There's an adjustable timer to automatically turn off after 10, 20, or 30 mins. To change the timer, you turn the top half back and forth. I leave it on 30 min constantly. If you want to turn it off sooner, you just press the power button. I like the compact size and portability. When baby was smaller we used to bring it in the car as well. This definitely is as good as the other name brand, but much cheaper. Definitely one of my best baby purchases. I'll be giving these out as shower gifts in the future.

I had seen similar products while pregnant but thought they were sort of a silly waste of money and didn’t get any. We do have a white noise machine with lots of different settings. After the baby was born and she decided that screaming was her favorite pastime, many people suggested the 5S soothing techniques from the happiest baby, one of which is shushing. Well after scream shushing in my daughter’s ear for hours on end, I got tired and remembered similar products to this one. So I came to amazon for my daily ‘save me I don’t know what I’m doing with this tiny human’ shopping binge. I found the other shusher for 30 something dollars and just couldn’t justify it, but after reading reviews for this one, it seemed that people liked it better and the price was more reasonable. I hit buy faster than my baby can spit up on the first clean shirt I’ve worn all week and never looked back. My baby likes the white noise machine too but this is an actual “Shhh” sound which is completely different and gets her to calm down, where the white noise helps to keep her asleep. I love that it’s portable since you will want it with you everywhere you go. I’ve even taken it in the car on longer trips. I like that it can be stood up or laid on its side or laid right in the bassinet or swing with the baby. I like that I can start out loud to overcome her screams and then gradually decrease the volume. I like the adjustable timer and that it’s easy to use. I have not used the night light portion except by accident or any of the sounds except the shushing. My only complaint is that the buttons can be difficult to find, especially in the dark, and especially especially when you’re sleep deprived and have the mental capacity of a baby yourself. But this is a minor complaint, I would still recommend this product to friends having babies. I also would sometimes like to leave it on longer than 30 minutes for those times when the baby is making you earn that title of mother. It always seems to find a way to turn off at the absolute worst times.

My original orange/white 4 year old shusher met its end when my 2 year old dropped it on the floor. The thing works miracles with my baby so I needed a new one. I was drawn to this one because of the $15 savings. I can confirm that the “shush” sound it nearly identical and has the same very calming miracle sleep effect on my 2 month old as the old one. I find the button controls easier. Both take 2 AA batteries. This one has some extra features but I really only wanted the shusher. Not a fan of the white silicone as it looks dirty right out of the box. I like the loop so I can still hook it to my carrier when I wear him. Ultimately, I’m glad I saved the money and went with this one. We’ll see how it holds up.

Nice and simple product that makes bedtime easier. Some critiques I have is that the steps in between volumes is quite big. It goes from pretty quiet to much louder and no in between. One thing I don't like is the white silicone top, gets dirty fast.

I can’t believe the power this little sound machine has! I played it all day long for a month and finally had to replace the battery on it so battery life is a plus. The sound quality is amazing and performs perfectly. The volume has a great range on it. It’s small enough to fit anywhere and makes it perfect for travel. It’s perfect for any age, newborn to adult! The best part, it’s so dang affordable! Such a great find!

Product is just okay but the screws to place batteries came completely stripped! Not sure if they sent me a used one?

Good product white noise helped baby sleep

This is exactly what I was looking for. Something small, easy to use, and easy to access. We wanted something to kind of get our little one to realize it is time for bedtime, on days where she may not have been ready to bedtime (most of the time she is, but I still put it on for comfort). She really likes the shushing and the heartbeat sounds, so usually I will have it on the heartbeat sound and then turn the small light on so if she is awake and not ready for sleep, she can look around her crib until she is tired. It has become a part of our routine, anytime we are putting our baby to sleep, and she definitely loves it. I also do rock my baby and shush her softly to sleep and give lots of kisses before placing her back in her crib for sleep (most times, she has fallen asleep). 10/10 I do recommend!!

Ça sauve la vie ! Plutôt que de rester sans salive dans la bouche de faire Shhhh shhh shhh pour calmer votre bébé, et ben vous avez cette machine. Et c’est excellent le fait qu’elle s’arrête toute seule au bout de 30 min, comme ça bébé ne s’habitue pas trop non plus avec du bruit blanc tout le temps. Y’a aussi le bruit d’un sèche cheveux et le cœur de « la mama » que j’utilise mais plus rare. Anyway, c’est un truc indispensable pour une maman avec nouveau né.

Aparelho compacto e portátil, bom para levar para os lugares e usar fora de casa, em passeios, no carro etc. Em casa acho que não compensa usar porque o temporizador dura apenas 30 minutos no máximo, então para usar a noite inteira é melhor uma caixinha de som própria pra isso

Great value for money. Does its job well, which is to soothe my baby. However, the build quality is not the best, but its alright

The baby sleeps really well with this. However, the problem is the maximum time it can run is 30 minutes before turning off by itself. This wakes up the baby. It would have been really better with maybe a longer time limit, or slow shut down to not wake up the baby by the sudden silence!

Me ha resultado muy útil, buscaba el sonido de shshsh me gusta el diseño es bonito y práctico y los materiales de buena calidad, tiene 3 sonidos de shshsh, latido, y como dentro del útero. El único detalle que si lo aclaran en la descripción es que lo máximo que dura es 30 minutos. Utiliza baterías AA que me han durado muchísimo lo uso durante el día para siestas del bebé y para dormirlo en la noche llevamos 3 semanas y aun tiene batería.
