Q: do the patterns tested for include sabino?

Yes, Sabino is included in our MiniPanel and MiniPanel PLUS.

Q: Does this test tell you possible relatives of your horse including possible sire and dam?

Hello, no it does not. That is called Parentage (and we do offer it on our website) and while there is a chance at finding a match, we would have to have tested the parents and have their parentage markers in our database. Without a starting point it is unlikely you would find your horse's sire and dam.

Q: Do I have to pay another fee to have the test processed?

Q: Can you test hair on a horse that has past away?

Yes. As long as there is a root bulb attached (meaning it’s been pulled) and there are at least 30-40 hairs. Please know that there are no guarantees the hair will produce DNA. Once the sample has been processed there are refunds.
