Gill vs Helly Hansen vs FitsT4
This is a review of partial finger sailing gloves comparing: Helly Hansen vs FitsT4 Sports vs Gill Deckhand My hands have a 9” circumference at the knuckles. All gloves sizes were chosen per the company's size chart for a 9" hand. Gill and Helly Hansen were Large. FitsT4 were Extra Large. Helly Hansen: Good construction. I liked the full wrap of reinforcement on the fingers. These gloves had the snuggest fit of the group, especially through the palm and fingers (just a smidge tighter than the Gill but definitely tighter than the FitsT4). The thumb fit however is quite loose. FitsT4: largest of the three pairs. Not bad gloves. Lighter build than the other pairs. Would be good for somebody that needs them occasionally or for light use. Comfortable. The gloves had the shortest fingers of the group. The description of the FitsT4 says they are 3/4 gloves – I would consider them more “half-finger” gloves. One of the things that I did not like about the FitsT4, is that the palm reinforcement did not cover the area between the thumb and fore finger. This is an area that definitely gets wear from control lines. Gill: Nice construction and comfortable. I felt these gloves were a little roomier than the Helly Hansen gloves. They also had the longest fingers of the group. A feature that these gloves had (that the others didn’t) was pull loops on the middle and ring finger. Sometimes wet sailing gloves can be a challenge to get off – these pull loops are a great aid to removing them at the end of the day. Conclusion: I would rate both the Gill and the Helly-Hansen 5-stars. They both have quality construction and materials and are well designed. I would give the FitsT4 a 4-star rating because they are built lighter and don’t have full reinforcement between the thumb and forefinger. On the other-hand (no pun intended), they’re decent gloves and are less expensive than the Gill and Helly Hansen gloves. If you only need sailing gloves from time-to-time, they would be a great option. I decided to keep the Gill gloves and return the Helly-Hansen and FitsT4 because of better fit for my hands and the pull loops on the fingers, but I would be happy with any of these gloves.

High quality safety gear. No regrets
Great sailing gloves, just the right coverage and thickness. I can easily haul lines without hurting my hands, while still having fingertips free to manage instruments. I wear large gloves, and size large fits me very well. They go on and come off easily, but don’t slip while I’m wearing them. Initial quality and craftsmanship were impressive with clean material edges and tight seams. After two seasons on foredeck on a race boat there are no signs of wear and they’ve become even more comfortable. Gill is a respected brand and these gloves live up to the hype. The online price easily beats marine stores. You need good gloves on deck, and these will not disappoint.

Ok gloves. Size a bit small
Gloves are ok but size is a bit small for the M size. I had several of this same model over the years and those were a bit bigger

High Performance and Durability. Best Value Out There!
My favorite sailing gloves ever. I've paid way more and been horribly disappointed. I race a couple of days a week, 5 months a year, and most gloves, irrespective of price, struggle to last a season for me. Not the end of the world, but it would be nice if I could get a full season out of a pair. These? Just wrapped up my second full season, and I don't see any reason these won't be 100% functional for another season or two at least! Seriously - great fit, comfort, grip, and durability. What else is there? Best value out there by far, in my opinion. If there is something better, at any price, I would love to hear about it.

Just breaking then in after 4 days of sailing
These were great for 4 days of racing in San Diego. Very comfortable and my hands came out in great condition. I can't imagine what my hands would look like without them. The ring/middle finger loops to pull them off were a nice addition, especially when wet. They were a little narrow across the palm, but I was in the edge between sizes and chose smaller. The size was tolerable.

Comfortable, lightweight, provide good grip & protection
Love these gloves, they are comfortable, lightweight, provide good grip & protection, and Still look good after 2 years. I race dingy's on the west coast, I only go once a month in the summer/fall. After each use I flush with fresh water and hang dry. Stitching, velcro, palm grips are all still in good shape. Highly recommend!

Excellent Sailing Glove
These work great, wet or dry. They fit pretty snug when brand new and I was concened that they would be too tight. However, after wearing a couple of timess they have loosened up nicely. Great fit, seem durable after a dozen sailings.

These fingerless gloves are very flexible and comfortable for the task at hand - namely handling and tying ropes as you do on a boat.
