Otis Technology Cleaning Patches (Select Your Size)

Started using Otis a long, long time ago and love their products.These patches are really awesome to use. I have used them on the dirtiest of barrels and they have never disappointed.I have an SKS that I bought about 30 years ago and in the first 2 years I had that rifle, I fired thousands and thousands of rounds through it and never so much as wiped it down. And we are talking the good old corrosive primer ammo that you can't get anymore. And I only added oil as needed to the BCG to keep it running. Just wanted to see how tough the rifle really was and I abused it horribly bad.I had finally decided to tear it down to see how bad it was and I had, ironically, just purchased my first Otis kit 2 weeks before. I tore it completely down to the absolute bare assemblies and separated the barreled action from the stock. And it was understandably filthy.I ran the Otis bore brush through the bore first and laughed at the amount of crud that flowed out of the muzzle. Did the brush only 1 pass and switched to the patches.Otis says you can reuse these patches for a total of 6 passes. And I can honestly say I only used 1 patch on that barrel. I passed 3 times and the chrome lining started shining at that point. After the 6th pass, it wasn't pulling any more crud. Installed a second patch and pulled it through. Nothing. At all. Clean as a whistle.Ever since, I have used Otis exclusively and it delivers as promised. No issues and I know the barrel is absolutely clean afterwards. I have 4 kits and I carry one just for my service firearms. I keep it in my range bag and can clean my revolvers, Glocks, AR's and Remington 870's at the range.These patches are amazing and I will not switch back to the square patches again. These honestly work and can really clean an extremely dirty bore in just a few passes. 100 patches can easily last me a year and a half even with all of the shooting I do. And that is really awesome as it saves space, time and money.

I have been using Otis firearm cleaning supplies for about twenty years, they never disappoint. If used properly I don't think there is anything better.

I love Otis products. These patches are great and I always try to keep them on hand, along with the smaller size patches. I don't have any issue with the product at all, they work just fine. My only complaint is that they are a little overpriced for the quantity you get.

Otis All Caliber PatchesI've used the Otis patches on .223 bores as well as 12 gauge bores. They are good for up to 6 uses, although they can start tearing after 3-4 uses but are usually good enough to last up to 6. They're made of a cotton material, so they tend to do a better job at pulling out carbon/plastic deposits without leaving polyester fibers that can melt.The 100 patches come in a re-usable plastic container which makes them easy to dispense, versus using a ziploc bag or stuffing them somewhere.Overall: 5/5 stars, It looks expensive up front but it really does fit tightly in the bore when used with Otis's patch loop and is easy to use with Otis cables.

Otis has a great cleaning system. Pulling a wad of patch through the bore is the way to go. Nearly impossible to screw up and it wipes the bore with good pressure. You CAN get six pulls out of a patch if you're REALLY careful. I get a little extra use out of each one by punching a small hole in a regular patch and covering this one to get the initial heavy debris out of the barrel.Otis recommends doubling up patches on larger calibers to fill the bore. What a great way for them to sell twice as many patches! My method works just fine and I usually get a barrel spotless using a single patch. These are slightly overpriced for what they are, but I'll continue to use them because the quality is good.
