Great product, lousy assembly instructions!
Very well designed for use on my small dinghy and my canoe. HOWEVER, absolutely awful assembly instructions. A simple exploded view included with the paper instructions would have cut my assembly time at least in half.

Great product
Love it! Ready to install in minutes, easy battery access, solid hardware for the swing arm. Works perfect.

Great For Canoe or Kayak
This thing makes it so easy to put a fish-finder and sonar setup to your canoe or kayak. I use both on a regular basis and used to fumble around with all sorts of crummy solutions, to the point where I just never brought it with me due to the hassle. Even though this is pretty expensive (on top of what you are paying for a fish finder and battery), it's worth having the convenience. I don't have a whole lot of time to go out, so I can just grab the setup, put it in my car, and slide it onto one of my tracks when I'm at my spot. It's a huge time saver and encourages me to use the investment I made in my fish-finding setup! The first time you take it out with you, bring an adjustable wrench that can go on the bolts. You'll be able to make sure your bolts are tight enough to withstand the flow of the water against the arm. After my first trip doing that, they haven't needed adjusted since then.

cool product/poor instructions
Looks solid- will definitely feel like a pro on the water. Using with a garmin striker 7dv and seems to work just fine. I found the installation to be a bear. Poorly written sparse instructions with minimal diagrams. Had to take it apart several times over three different sessions to finally get the transducer arm figured out (the battery box is pretty easy- especially if you've installed yakattack products before). I figured everything out using common sense... but i don't think the average person is going to take this out of the box and be on the water 20 minutes later.

Great product for kayak
A great all in one for your fish finder on your kayak. The Nocqua 10Ah battery fits into cellblok box and simple attachment on kayak. All looks nice and neat. Great product from Yakattack.

Instructions are horrible!
Great concept. Average materials at best. Instructions absolutely are horrendous. The transducer arm needs to be stronger.

Ultimate fish finder accessory!
The plastics used for this is super thick which makes it extremely stout when fully assembled. I love how it keeps my transducer wires neat. What really makes this special, is I could take the entire thing off and place it on another kayak in seconds or keep it off my kayak if I dont feel like taking my fish finder. Another win for YakAttack

Don’t bother.
This thing is basically a joke. The only reason I gave 2 stars is it technically does what it’s supposed to. The first problem is the front cover does not stay on because it is barely held in place by a tiny notch. The directions are basically non existent. No idea what screws to use or what way things face. It’s ludicrous. With enough trial and error you may get it together. The 2nd most crazy part is the mount for the fish finder. It’s a nightmare. But by far is the transducer arm. Holy smokes. Even if you have the hulk crank down the screws, the lower arm will eventually shake loose and god help you if you have a garmin. your transducer will get crooked if any pressure hits the front. They try to use rubber to make the transducer work and it just slips and is trash. If you hate a fellow fisherman, have him or her buy this. They will hate you for life. Glad this came early. Cancelled my blackpak and other orders. YakAttack needs to stick with Rod Holders. Update! I took it out on the water. Lower arm of transducer mount flew off at 2 MPH. Thankfully the cord kept it from sinking. Even when I tightened it to death like in the photo. It still flew off. So grab yourself some superglue or something. You’ll need it. Also crank down all the arms. They will get moved around by the slightest amount of water resistance. Update: I discovered YakAttack is suppressing bad reviews in their website. So 1 star and I hope no one trusts their products again.

Folks this is the best Kayak Battery compartment ever! The switch blade yak attack mount was the icing on the deal. The combo slides onto the rails of my kayak quick and easy. Very transferable to another craft or put away at end of the day!
