First time trying felting. The silly leather index finger cot is so small it only fits on my pinky, and I have woman's medium hands. Lots of needles, have not broken any yet, made 2 mushrooms so far. As for the 1-star reviews, they are mostly about quality. What do people expect for this price? No, they are not high quality, but if one is trying needle felting out, why spend $100+ when I bought these and 100 tiny bags of colored wool for less than $35. I had a bag of cream roving already, so for $35, I was able to find out how much fun this can be. Probably not great for the experienced felter, but good for a beginner without spending a fortune to give it a go. Nice little box with a good clasp and bottles to keep the needles in.

My first attempt at needle felting involved a high-end kit, but the needles broke almost immediately. These have been much more durable and reliable. A solid choice for beginners and frequent crafters. I really enjoy the sizes and handles.

I purchased this as a first-time user. I had never needle felted before and wanted to add some designs to my felted soaps I make. After much searching, I picked this product. It took a little bit to get the hang off, but it wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. The needles are pretty sturdy if you use them correctly, but if you don't, they will break off. And they HURT if you hit your fingers! It does come with finger guards, but I don't like them, they get in my way, but it is nice that they add them. This pack comes with several handles, and LOTS of needles, which is great. I have been using it for months now, and still don't need any replacements. Great pick for a new user to see if they want to take up this hobby. I am sure there are "better" handles, and needles, etc" out there, but this works fine for me and my needs. Good value for my money!

After our cats ferociously attacked several felted Christmas ornaments repairs were needed. I ordered this because it is a good price. It worked really well, and seems to be of good quality. Was able to easily fix all damage to felted ornaments!
