How is the velcro? We have a set that the velcro isnt sticking and its been used for just a few games.

My son used them every game of the season and half the all stars so far. Played every inning and not the first issue. I highly recommend. Great investment towards in career as a catcher.

What age group is this gear for?

Probably 7-9 years. Our 7yo loves it. He’s on the smaller side and has a little room still

My son is 9 but on the smaller side, he is about 50in tall and around 60 lbs...will the l/xl fit? or should i go with s/m?

I bought the L/Xl for my son who was also 9 and rather small compared to the others his age.. I 100% know it will fit perfectly, and as a bonus it will (more likely then not) fit a second year, as well as give him an advantage towards all stars.. Great buy, definitely in my top 10 best online buys.

I have a 7 year old that is 52 inches tall and 72 lbs would you go with a small or the large

My son is 9, he is 54" tall, and about the same weight. The helmet and chest protector fit fine, the leg protectors are huge on him. with the quad protector over the knee, they almost go up to the middle of his quad. Its funny to see, but he has room to grow into the set, and its a really nice set. I am very happy with my purchase and would say do it. If your son is going to catch for a few years, its a great set for the money and you'll get a number of years out of it.
