Brinsea TLC-30 Advance Portable Pet Brooder Incubator for Puppies, Kittens, Small Mammals with Heating and Temp Control, Newborn Puppy Incubator for Kittens, Birds and Other Animals

This little brooder as worked out very well for our aviary. It's good at maintaining a constant temperature. We use a cup of water to increase humidity, and that works well, but I do wish it was designed with a humidifier as well. Super easy to clean. Very portable. It's paid for itself over and over again.

Works as expected but make sure to check the corner cardboard packaging before you toss it out because the power cord is hidden inside one of the corner cardboard inserts. Don’t make the same mistake I did and toss the cardboard out.

Poorly designed. Temperature probably hangs down and is not protected from birds. Mine has been chewed off twice and they want 99.00 to send a replacement control board. Should have been designed with a metal cage around the probe to prevent access to larger babies.

We used this incubator to keep our elderly hedgehog warm while he was going through a rough patch. The incubator is wonderfully portable, and now that our hedgehog is doing better, we still use this incubator for quick overnight trips when we can't bring a larger enclosure. The car charger works flawlessly, and we've had the incubator constantly on (in case of emergency) for months now without any issues whatsoever.

As a rehabber, I’ve needed an incubator for many years but put it off because of the cost. Two years ago I pulled the trigger and bought my first Brinsea TLC-30 Advance. I now have 5! Reliability is the number one requirement and the TLC-30 checks the box. It’s also lightweight, easy to carry and customer service is excellent! HOWEVER… there is a potentially fatal flaw with the door design that everyone should be aware of. The latch is useless. It constantly swings open by itself and there is no safety mechanism. Because I take it with me daily, in and out of my car, I have unknowingly dumped babies in my car, in the driveway, and in the street! I started using tape and then elastic to keep the door closed but finally got smart and attached a Child Safety Strap Lock made for cupboard doors. They are very inexpensive ($7.99 for a 6-pack), easy to attach with peel off adhesive strips and easy to open and close. They will save lives!!!! So buy the Brinsea incubator and buy the safety straps at the same time. I highly recommend both!
