These are great illuminators overall. Overall performance is based upon how good/bad your IR Sensor is inside your camera. So getting away with using just 1/2 the banks will be based upon that. Once I get it out in the field more, I'll update my review

works well on a Cam-Corder I bought that also has IR Night Vision, this extra Ordro LN-3 IR Night Vision Light did enhance it a lot.

Been using a week, seems to work pretty well. Battery definately lasts several hours on half setting not sure about full. But it does a pretty good job. Decent brightness, good price.

After a few uses, something seems to break down inside the unit and the green charging LED begins to bleed into the IR LED array, which impacts the quality of the IR light. The green bleed only worsens with further use. Also, the charging ports are weak and stop working properly after a few uses so that the unit won't get a consistent charge.
