I bought this to put some very thin and delicate fiber optic cabling up on the walls. I couldn't use anything that got too hot since it could damage the glass fiber or the PVC sheathing. This worked perfectly for the install. The glue does get hot, but not hot enough to cause pain or a burn. I even accidentally touched the nozzle and still no issues. I'll reach for this over my other glue guns for light jobs from now on! The build quality is also very good. The power cord is very flexible and the plastic shell is nice, solid and grippy.

My 5 year old was gifted this for christmas. She has used it multiple times. It's a great beginner hot glue gun. She is extra careful and hasn't received a burn. We absolutely adore that she can craft with her mommy now

I had no previous experience with glue guns and I just it for a single task - to attach one of the metal bars in a laundry rack to the plastic frame. It isn't pretty because I basically wrapped it all around the pipe where it connects to the frame. It did the job and will hopefully withstand shocks to the frame when it tips over (hasn't been tested yet). I didn't find the gun itself heated up much; it seemed true to the name. I can't speak to whether the glue gun stands up to extended use (other sellers complained about this) because I only used 1 piece of the glue.

This low temp hot glue gun is great for balloon mosaics. The glue did not pop any of the balloons and kept them in place perfectly.
