Cheap and flimsy
One side of the rocker arm on the top comes off whenever you pull the pendulum. Even following the directions and making a concave "bowl" the sand comes over the sides and makes a mess with every pass. The pendulum only swings around a couple of times on each pull, barely makes any design. Don't bother unless you want a sandy mess on your desk.

Disappointed!
The arm that holds the weight doesn’t support the pendulum very well. The pendulum hits the rim of the base and only makes a design in a small part of the sand. Not good.
