A total beast in its class
***This gimbal is a total beast in its class. I would love to highlight all the points I like about AK2000S.- Gimbal motor is impressive due to it buttery smooth motion on all types of movement like panning, tilting.- Portability due to its size and feather weight without the camera mounted.- Lock screws present on all 3 axis: makes it a lot easier to move around without having the arm daggling left and right when you carry it. You are assured that it is intact while in your backpack. Balancing of gimbal is never been a breeze like this.- Battery life so far does not disappoint me. A day of use in fully charged battery is an absolutely reasonable battery life.- Versatile Arm is a brilliant standard add-on without paying extra for it. Having it on a gimbal gives you a comfortable body posture performing low angle shots. Better support for both of your hands.- Multifunctional knob is a lot smoother compare to previous AK2000 gimbal.- Touch screen added features/menu are great and the one that shines on top was the dead zone settings where you can comfortably configure your setting without doing to the app on your phone. Another setting you can configure directly without phone app is Gimbal/Camera sensitivity. Screen is very responsive right off the bat. Inception mode gives you better option like rotate once or infinite rotation with out holding/pressing onto some control buttons.- Wooden finish handle is an eye-popping design and feels really solid. I have no issues about loosing my grip on it.- Arca Quick release plate is a plus for having a handle on screw for easy adjustments on mounting your camera.- Control buttons and Joystick are responsive. I have issues with them.- Price is a Big bang for your buck. Affordable.- Build quality is solid. Feels like premium materials that will last long- Small tripod has some modifications too that works well and feels really solid when you put your hands on it. It has rubber materials that is cozy to hold onto to unlike the metal finish of AK2000.- Protective case serves its purpose. Cushion-type material is used which makes it light to carry and protect the gear without breaking the case***Points that can have some modification or improvements:- Better lock screw/quick release system for Versatile Arm. It looses its portability purpose for a bit when you have this manual screw with allen ring in your pocket to carry.- Removable battery is a possibility. Could be a deal breaker for some but not a huge deal. but again it is nice to have removable batteries especially when you are out in the woods and no electricity which spare batteries will be a big help for continuous gimbal operation.Overall AK2000S is my recommended gimbal due to its price, quality and performance. AK2000S is an underrated gear in comparison to other more expensive gimbal out in the market and it can outlast its competitors in its class.

Compact and lightweight! Easy to balance
I have used and owned about 8 different gimbals. They all have their pro's and con's. The ak2000 S, I would say is well made and feels premium in the hand, and is easy to operate right out of the box. Love the extra handle that comes with it to allow for the low angle shooting style that is so loved in todays gimbals. It has a soft rubber grip that feels super nice in your hand. Take care to tighten up the screws as they can come a little loose after use. USB charging is a nice additional feature and it charges fast. The rosewood insert on the grip, is not only a nice design touch but feels good in your hand. The touch panel is easy to get to and controls the basic function of the gimbal. I tested it with a Sony a7III and it works as promised. You do not have control over AV TV ISO from the grip for Sony, but that is a Sony issue. You can start and stop recording and control the perimeters of the gimbal, but not controlling camera specific features. My understanding is you can on other Camera brands. I also love the quick release plate, very easy to use. It does have 3 locks for each axis. It is really fast to BALANCE! Something I think the average or beginner user will appreciate. The camera mount has a D screw that you can turn with your finger and don't need a coin or screwdriver to operate it. That is a BIG feature! How does it perform in the real world? ... Well, It is smooth with no jitters that I can tell. I wish there was a bit more control over the deadband as I think it stops a bit to abruptly,(on my copy), but I am sure that can be changed, (I could not figure it out) or a firmware update. Electronic zoom works smoothly without any stepping. I could not test the focus as I did not get the focus controller. I think that this gimbal is perfect for taking videos of the family, travel and leisure use, and general footage capture. It packs down easily for travel and vacation.

Affordable gimbal with great features for professionals who wants to achieve more than simple moves.
The media could not be loaded. I am working with gimbals as soon as they came out to the market years ago. I witnessed gimbals’ progression, new technologies, and of course was happy when the prices start coming down to a comfortable $300-400 range for a good tool. For me, an ideal combination is a good build quality product packed with advanced technology and at a reasonable price. To my satisfaction, AK2000S hits practically all targets for me.I like how it's built, that's number one. I want to make sure my gimbal is built to last and I don’t need to worry about what can happen if I won’t be careful enough. Second, extra support handle and a foldable stand that comes with the gimbal is a big help for a certain type of shots or simply being able to put the gimbal down if it’s not in use. Third, Feiyu’s app. It’s easy to install and navigate from the start, even without reading a manual, and it pairs with the gimbal in no time. Fourth, I hate the balancing part when it comes to gimbals. It takes time and can be annoying. If you have experience balancing a professional gimbal before it won’t take much time for you to balance your camera on AK2000S. And lastly, I really like the options this gimbal has to offer. What do I mean? If you looking for more than the simple, traditional shots most of us get used to by now, if you like to be in control, have additional tools on a gimbal that can help you to get you a shot you want and overall if you looking for technology to be on your side helping you to translate your creative vision into a precise camera movement Feiyu AK2000S is the gimbal that delivers, and at affordable price. Now, what I don’t like. As I just mentioned above, AK2000S is a great tool capable to deliver precise and complicated camera movements, something that hard to find in gimbals within the $300-400 price range. If you are looking for a very specific type of shots you can accomplish with a minimum learning curve and you planning to use the gimbal for a relatively short period of time AK2000S gimbal can deliver great results. If you are looking for a gimbal for a long day of shooting I would recommend considering an alternative model. For me, this gimbal is for a specific type of shots I can not accomplish with other tools in my possession.First, for me, the gimbal feels heavy. My hands are not that strong, the weight of the gimbal for me is always a problem, so I can comfortably use AK2000S with no fatigue for continues shots not longer than 2-3 minutes, depending on a shot of course. Second on my “wish list” is a battery in general. The gimbal has a built-in rechargeable battery, which is great, but for me it lasted for around 45-50 minutes, I guess it based on the gimbal use, possibly humidity, temperature conditions, at least from my experience humidity and the temperature can make a difference in the battery life. So, my wish for the AK2000S - it will be nice to be able to replace the battery if needed. And third, it’s not related to the battery directly but since it’s connected to a power supply the motors are getting pretty hot to touch when the gimbal is on and my concern in hot and/or humid conditions the motors can get overheated and then who knows what to expect. It didn’t happen to me, at least yet, and I hope it won't, but I am using the gimbal not long enough, so let’s see.I am attaching a shot from my very first shoot using AK2000S. No practice before the job, except when I was setting up the gimbal, balanced a camera and was playing with settings and the app learning what this gimbal is capable of.

Arrived Defective and damaged my lens.
Bought the gimble a while back, when I would fully balance my FujiFilm X-T3 on it the motors would freak out and spin the camera around uncontrollably, resulting in it damaging my lens. Thankfully the return process has been started, although it's quite unfortunate that it ruined my brand new lens and they did not care.

Well built but mine had a bad battery
Really well built. High quality materials. The gimbal itself is awesome, but the one I received had a bad battery. It would take a long time to charge, and die after only a few minutes. I was extremely let down because I liked the gimbal.
