I did receive three and they are pretty sturdy overall. If they are just going to sit on a shelf or table, they can definitely hold a large candle. If you're going to move them while having a lit candle in them, then nothing heavier than a votive. And a votive that isn't glass encased. They were wrapped in dirty bubble wrap and shipped in a padded Amazon shipping envelope - surprisingly, there was no real damage!Yes, they are painted with a matte black paint. **HOWEVER** it is very rough feeling. Like sand was mixed into the paint. It feels more like rough grit sandpaper to be honest; I have no doubt that it would scratch a lot of surfaces. One of them has a small chip in the paint as well. Needless to say, I will now have to strip and repaint them. (I need them for something and it's just feaster and easier this way.) This makes me not want to give them any stars at all. But, I want to be fair so this is why I am only giving it two stars.

I'm giving this item 1 star because it's supposed to be a set of 3 and I only received 1. For just 1 it is overpriced. That said it was pretty much what I expected aside from the number and I like the rustic look . Perfect size for a pillar candle, but very rough finish on the bottom so would a doily or tablecloth underneath to prevent it scratching any furniture your might set it on.

Item is much more flat than item photo, & despite listing stating you receive a set of three holders, you will only receive one. Worth maybe $4, definitely not $14- I would strongly recommend purchasing something else!

They work. V e r y thin coating, which comes of easily. Material is thin too. A large pillar candle, I can imagine the thing bending, loosing the candle to below. I use them for 1 and 1 1/2 inch candles. Great for this. Oh, there is no candle post to secure the candle. You know, a nail like thing to press the candle down onto, to secure it to the holder.

It's nice but a little thinner and smaller than I imagined. Item was described as a set of 3 but only one arrived.

Fits one pillar candle nicely and it’s made well.

These darling pie pan pillar candle holders were exactly what I was looking for displaying my two flameless pillar candles. They dress up the whole arrangement. I also appreciated the lightening fast shipping! Thank you!
